I'm so happy you posted this video!! I just found the same model at a thrift store and brought it home with me. I've worked with 35mm film cameras but never any type of film camcorder. It's all new to me. I am having an issue where the camera powers on but the viewfinder is just black, no images or text or anything. And the eject button does nothing. I think the CR2025 cell battery is dead, do you think changing that battery will fix the issue?
The CR2025 battery only maintains the clock settings for the camera, so that is not your issue. If the camera powers on but the viewfinder is just black, that is not a good sign. Do you have it plugged in with the ac adapter? This one had all the batteries dead and I could only operate it plugged in. If it remains unresponsive while plugged in, then sorry to say the camera will need to be repaired. Let me know, and thanks for watching.
@@WaybackRewind you're right, it turns out the batteries just won't hold a charge. It works fine when I plug it in! I wonder why all of the batteries are failing 🤔 I have three different types of batteries too and they all die within seconds. I wonder if it's even worth trying to order a working one
Awesome! So happy to hear the camera is working. Batteries only last a couple of years, that is just the nature of batteries. But the good news is that brand new batteries are available for this camera. I have added a link in the description. Thanks.

Thanks.
I have the FX730, which was the same camera but with a color LCD!
Nice! I didn't know about that one. Thanks for sharing.
All 90s geer has leaky caps! It was a world wide problem faulty caps sent to ALL manufacturers. 😞
Yes leaky caps was a global problem. 70s and early 80s was fine. But 90s was crap.
Thanks for watching.
Does this camera have a night vision mode on it?
Unfortunately it does not have night vision mode. Thanks for watching.
