"The Lord showed me dreams of my daughter. She was crying inside your stomach." That part gets me tearing every time. I love singing along to this song.
I really respect that you not only looked up the lyrics, but listened to it several times yourself to make your decision. I never really see that in lyric videos and it just kind of shows that you care and put a lot of effort into it. :)
I think he's saying "Lay me with a selfish fear". It kinda makes sense if you think about it. Hes talking about restless sleep so it would make sense that he is talking about laying down in bed with a selfish fear that would keep him awake throughout the night. Or some form of the word vain.
manna is the food of the Gods. laden is a reference to feeling beaten down. you did a great job on the lyrics. don't let any ignorant ass tell you different. they just need to pick up a dictionary and a book. )O(
I'm going to out there because you said in the description you wondered about the lyrics: I do too. And, I think can relate. He's a drug addict who is with, apparently with someone who loves him very much and wants to help. He can't stop and it get's out of hand so much that she commits suicide. He's left alone and with the remnants of his habits.:-(
This song is actually about a dream that the writer had. If you google it he says that he dreamed he was in a car crash with his wife but in the dream he imagined she was pregnant and that he thought if was beautiful how a life can go but a new one is born hence why he "felt love, again"
@hannah hurst, NONE of that is true. This song is mostly about his experiences while performing on the road. Only the very end references his (now) wife. They weren't yet married at the time. The end is about a dream he had where they were side swiped by a large truck and she was dying. At that moment, he realized that she was perfect and that he was going to lose her, but God showed him an image of their daughter in her stomach, giving him solace that with the end of one life, another would begin. Andy and Amy hull have never been drug addicts. EVERYTHING in the beginning is about his life/worries on tour, and the very end is about a dream. Idk what you heard or from who, but it was very wrong.
Manna , pcylocin, deep disturbing , rich, overwhelming, visions, nearly finding the meaning of life, selfish at first a personal account of the realm we should all visit , to find love again.. the symbiotic love we have lost in todays control system... a life without experiencing manna is a life lost...
I think the girl is leaving him and he loves her so much she's liiike a drug to him but she won't stay, he trys to commit suicide....? Then he finds out she's pregnant and feels loved again??? Lol idk but the first part of the song I really like it.

He's saying "veiny." He says that he gets panic attacks and they cause him to clench up, so that's why he used the word "veiny" twice in this song.
manna is the food of the Gods.
laden is a reference to feeling beaten down.

Sorry for grammar. I'm sure you get it. Can't edit.
It's about his wife. He was a drug addict and she hung herself on their curtains when she was pregnant..my brother met the singer.
This is soo pretty

The slip inside the CD cover says "veiny with a selfish fear".
Great ear though, that was the only fault.

So it turns out that laden really is a word. So you got it right.
When I play this, I can hear a hot one.
Music is a hell of a drug.
I need a little more, I think, cause enough is never quite enough...What's enough?

Great song, but what is it about?About a woman who is pregnant, or a woman who lost her baby?
It's a great song, but sad
The bass on this song is strangely large
This whole album is about molly

Hannah Hurst, none of that is even remotely true. Please don't make things up.
