    Great series.
Building decks like this from core and current campaign is much more sustainable for people like me who dip in and out.
Please keep going. There are a few you haven't covered yet.

Thanks for the comment! We will be recording another batch of these next week.

Had massive success with an Akachi deck not too long ago. I've heard some folks complain she's boring but my retort would be she's Just Good. And that's fun in and of itself.
Grotesque Statue of course is amazing in all Mystics but WOW it's stupendous in Akachi. Quantum Flux is pretty nifty much of the time, but in Dunwich it's close to an auto-include.
Great deck! Although I must say... Mystics really want Dunwich. Not getting Shrivelling 3 and 5 is OUCH. Delves are nice too of course.

Really nice videos! Giving me ideas as what to play during these times, getting kinda tired of actually building the most optimal deck for each campaign I play, would be cool to challenge myself with this deckbuilding restriction :)

I haven't played her a lot but found her good in a trio with Mark and Daisy, with Shrivelling, Arcane insight, Enchanted blade (guardian), ...

Happy New Year and thanks for this and all these videos! I do have Dunwich - which cards would you guys recommend for Akachi from there (in addition to Rite of Seeking), and what would you swap out? Also from the Core Set, isn't flashlight a good fit for Akachi? I'm planning to play her solo.

There isn't too much absolutely necessary in Dunwich. You'll just ensure you want your kill spells and your clue spells for solo. It's expensive, but Ward of Protection 5 can do a lot of work in solo mode.
Flashlight can work for getting clues off of 2 shroud or lower locations and can essentially act as another "spell" of sorts, even if you don't get an additional charge or anything like that.

I would put a Rite of Seeking in Akachi for sure. Less useful in multiplayer maybe, but it gives her something else to do early game.

Justin mentioned that they only used cards from the core set and the forgotten age. Rite of seeking is a card from the dunwich expansion.

@@lucianoconde3133 ... you're right. I somehow assumed it was part of the core set. Man, mystics had it rough back in the day.

Hypothetical question.....If you were to give Akachi the Permanent 'Versatile', what 0th level card from another class would you give her? I'd be very curious to this answer for all the investigators.

Akachi feels like the exception that proves the rule for Guts. I'd leave it out just this once.

Loving this series. Do you have something for Duke and Pete?

We're planning on making a guide for every investigator. We're going to be focusing on the remaining four core set investigators and then jump around through the rest until we have a video for each of them.

With this starter deck, it appears you’ve built Akachi as an all-arounder rather than specializing her into the role of either a fighter or clue gatherer.
