Looping is fine the streaks contributing to the next few is the issue . Rewards the sentinels 😂 Gonna have to balance it correctly so it doesn’t create a brain dead game with tons of rat holes of players gaining to many streaks to snow ball matches .

My opinion is they should just copy the BO2 method. Both looping and stacking, but killstreaks earned you very minimal score towards the next one. I think it was like 10 points for a UAV assist or 25 points for a lethal streak kill.
Looping is totally fine, but either disable or limit stacking beyond the first loop so that earning a powerful streak doesn’t basically guarantee that you loop around to another of that powerful streak with little to no risk to the user. Like you shouldn’t come out of a Chopper Gunner with another Chopper Gunner ready if you haven’t even fired your primary/secondary or played any objectives between them.
The solution to stacking is pretty simple when you have a scorestreak system. Just have the streak kills award you like 10-15 score per kill. Not nearly as much as 1 full regular kill.
Mw3 streak score per kill is broken as hell its really broken when you play Dom and, on the objective while your streaks getting kills that's 100 points per kill.
I think a good solution would be to give the Hardline Vest/perk the benefit of "stacking streaks" that way if you want to do that you'd have to compromise a gear slot.
I'm ok with streaks looping but I personally prefer if they keep stacking streaks for a perk (like MW19 with Killchain) since you can make some nasty combos I think you should give something in return.
Just in my opinion if you choose that perk your position should be pinged on the minimap every time your killstreak gets a kill. The dream would be to turn it into cranked for people who use it but that would be too much.

tbf stacking streaks are made worse by having looping streaks, it wouldn't be nearly as bad if you could only do it once before you had to restart. That being said it's still a terrible idea imo
EITHER, alone, is fine. Both, together, is where its bad. I don't remember a game where it was both simultaneously. In MW 2007 kill streak kills counted, but didnt loop. You could however save your kill streak (chopper) til after you died and it would count towards a fresh streak. In mw2 2009 kill streak kills counted, but i dont think if you got an AC130 and died, that by using the AC130 any of those kills counted towards a new streak. So, yes, this new system is kind of toxic where you get both aspects. It 100% promotes camping and using big kill streaks which will snowball and youll get dna nukes along the way.
Looping streaks is one of the best things happen to Mw3. I started playing because of it again! I quit because if bad team mates every game so having score streaks help me and team. Advanced UAV is a game changer and so much fun especially Small Map moshpit with the new Hardline Vest gives constant Advanced UAV and I had 8 in 1 game
This might sound crazy but what if there was a temporary playlist for 100% stacking streaks and looping streaks for people that like a super chaotic and unfair experience?
Also, the worst thing is that at the moment streak kills count towards the DNA bomb, which is stupid. Like I could get the loitering munitions and sit back and let it earn me the missile drone, which will earn me the chopper gun or swarms and so on….
Just have each successive loop have each streak cost one more kill than the previous loop. So for a 3-5-7 streak selection, you'd get your second loop at 11-14-17 instead of 10-12-14
I love looping streaks and yah normally i don't use lethal streaks. My usual streaks are UAV, Counter UAV and Advance UAV before they've made AUAV in the same grouping with EMP. Nobody uses EMP anymore. FYI I hated stocking streaks but unfortunately they are trying it right now. IMHO they are using the MW3 current streaks some sort of beta testing if this kind of scheme would be desired in BO6. What made everything worse is that they've made it harder to shoot down choppers and vetol
I like stacking streaks. The counter? Shoot down enemy streaks. It’s an incentive to do so, and with editing classes in game, you can do more for your team than just popping on cold blooded. That person hiding in the back? They now have to move because their streak reward got eliminated.
Looping should be a default, but stacking was a terrible Idea. I honestly would like support and Specialist streaks to make a come back. Just make it a button to push to switch streaks to "Support" style and it triples the value needed of streaks or something. The Specialist streaks I just miss collecting all the perks and feeling like a monster 😂
If you get a UAV, don’t call it in, die, and then get enough kills to earn another UAV, do you have 2 now or do you lose the 2nd one cuz you never called in the first?
Looping Streaks have brought back life into the game for me, it's rewards the player and the team for keeping each other alive, it was like that in BO2 and that game was top tier
We need looping scorestreaks streaks and score from those streaks should definitely count towards your next streak. But kill chain should be a perk only. A perk in a very competitive category.
100% agree but I would also love to be able to use only one streak and just loop that (like just get a uav every 500 points) and be able to select any combination of streaks, like a uav AND RC-XD even if they're the same score, just make one of them an extra kill. Because as it is I just can't use some steaks without giving up a UAV. I got it's for balance but I don't care I just want to have fun and choose my own steaks
Make it a choice like kill/scorestreaks. You can either choose for them to loop or have your streaks contribute to your next one but not have it loop and you have to die to get them again. That way you can still get a nuke with the help of your streaks but it's not constant streak spam and if you're good enough to loop high end streaks, that's just your effort and how good you are at the game and you should have the ability to capitalise on it.
I thought about this too but I think almost everyone would choose stacking streaks because it’s much more powerful than looping. Most people would probably die before earning all their streaks again anyway so looping would be useless to them.

Another benefit of lethal streaks, especially vehicles, is that they provide cover for you as you continue to go on a streak. Also if your map awareness is on point, you’ll learn where the enemies are spawning and where they likely are.
I don't mind the stacking streaks with the half value method. I think they could even have it be variable amounts where the strongest kill streaks are worth a third or a quarter as much as a gun/equipment kill
How about... - Have looping streaks, and if they want to keep nukes from being too easy to earn, up the score requirement for a nuke, or make it a gun-streak only reward (30-35 kills) - Stacking should count minimally toward subsequent streaks, such as 10 score where a gun kill would be 100, like Black Ops 4 Also, bring back Specialist streaks
I don't have a strong opinion on looping streaks, but you describe it well, and I agree. Stacking streaks however, is an absolutely horrendous idea. I tend to mainly play for the win rather than kdr/individual performance, and once that snowball starts rolling, it's usually over. Whoever gets the big streak first, wins. I agree with your suggestions in general, but preferably, I'd only keep a portion of the score from non-lethal streaks stack stack towards your next streak. Preferably zero score from lethal killstreaks should count towards your next one, everyone should earn them the good old way, by using your gun skill. Passive play styles should never be encouraged imo.
Funny how you have to explain looping and stacking streaks to modern cod players lol. Btw I love both looping and stacking streaks. Killstreaks has always been the main reason for me or most us to play COD and if anything it's always fun to get bunch of streaks on a roll. Stacking should be a perk IMO just like MW2019 had killchain, and I always used it no matter what other perks were there in that perk slot cause as I said I play cod for the score/killstreaks.
I kind like streak stacking tbh. Some of my best memories were hunting killstreak kunts hiding in the back of the maps, hoping to take over the lobby in mw3
I’m having a ton of fun with the looping and stacking combo, but I understand how toxic it is and it probably shouldn’t be in the game. Looping needs to stay though. I was playing a game of Meat last night. The entire game I had a turret, vtol or swarm active at all times and of course also dropped a DNA bomb.
It's been fun as a support player to have the current streak system, especially getting the EMP from only a few kills and a bunch of UAV assists, but still feel it would better to do away with the stacking.
Personally I think they should allow you to either loop your streaks or stack them like how you can choose score streaks or killstreaks. You can just make it another option
As soon as season 4 started, I immediately started seeing the sky constantly filled with mid to high end streaks during many matches. All it takes is one standout enemy and suddenly you're spending the rest of the match shooting down streaks, all the while the enemies are getting more streaks from killing you while you're distracted. Stacking streaks are awful
One idea I had a few years back if they wanted to have looping streaks but keep the nuke hard to earn was to make streaks earned on loops have some sort of visual indicator (Like a small icon, or a different color) and using any streak earned this way would prevent you from earning a nuke in that life. Granted, I agree with Ace in that it's not a huge deal to have nukes work with looping streaks, but I could see the devs wanting to do otherwise.
I think this is the best the game has felt since the og mw2/bops1/mw3 days. Its nice to have streaks feel valuable again, whilst also being risky since they can get shot down or disabled so easily especially when things like the stormender exist. Don't want to get streak chained on? Kill the guy or use the multitude of ways to take down his streak, or drop a comm scrambler? forgot the exact name but the one that stops people from calling in streaks. Plenty of counters
Idk it depends. The scorestreak spam is so lame. Just getting one emp or drone strike guarantees you another on as long as youre holding off or camping. I wouldnt mind being able to earn multiple in one life but them feeding your next lifes streaks are so lame imo.
Looping or not makes really no difference from the enemies perspective, cuz that person will just get them again from the next life and with looping, it makes you want to keep rushing to get more and more streaks. Definitely a system I wanted back, i'm glad it's back, it's fun to have again and i want Bo6 to have it. Streaks earn Streaks is just stupid. For reference, I played a match of Meat where I benefitted from it. In fact, I benefitted from it so much, to the point that I was sitting in my spawn most of the match using the returning Reaper Drone they just brought back to get a UAV, then popped up from the spawn crate I was prone next to, got 1 kill, got my carpet bomber, got a couple kills with that and went immediately back into my Reaper Drone for the second time. I mean if that's not OP, unfair and straight up braindead, then idk what is lol. It was fun for the match, but clearly it's not fair at all. Also, I wanna loop UAVs to try and get Nukes, at least that isn't really that unfair or OP in comparison to looping heavy lethal streaks to get unlimited streaks.
Yep same thing happened to me. My wheelson or drone would get so many kills it would immediately give me another one. Even i thought that was too much.
Definitely agree with you. I love looping streaks, but stacking streaks can be very OP. For example, I ended up getting a Swarm on Shipment and I was able to sit back and it would nearly loop me all the way back to a VTOL which then could carry me to another Swarm. Don't get me wrong, its fun to just see the kills pile up, but it did not feel nearly as earned as it was to get those streaks before this season.
I’m an objective players so I care more about staying alive to maintain the lead so I don’t really care about streaks. I would want an alternative, like idk I could capture flags faster and more points for holding a hard point etc.
I’m an objective player, I absolutely need streaks because I can never depend on my teammates to contribute. Plus playing the objective is the best way to earn your streaks
I wish call of duty would lean in to this more, rewards OBJ players with faster and more efficient ways to play the OBJ, while providing players who can slay out ,killstreaks.
I rather win then get a bunch of kills in an objective game. I hate being on a losing team and the top dude on my team has 100 kills. Like cool, but we lost. The fact that you kept calling in streaks and we still lost is even more sad. I'll always take the person with like 2min on the hard point over the guy with 10 seconds and 80+ kills.
I think a great idea is to have stacking streaks if you dedicate your character class to the strategist playstyle. The idea of them is to focus on throwing their bodies on point and helping their teamates, so letting them have stacking streaks, or maybe double score for taking out streaks/getting kills on point would help to balance that playstyle (granted they run all three perks matching that). The way the strategist is meant to be played is inherently selfless, so either this would make them campy, or I'm hoping it would encourage them even more to play obj, especially if they had significantly faster streak progress while on the obj. Another alternative is for support streaks with a strategist loadout to offer more points towards your next streaks, and maybe placing a killstreak on an objective either buffs it or makes it gather a boosted score.
I know it is a very specific situation, but I ran a shipment match with some friends, and ended up dropping a Swarm. The Swarm would obviously kill everything, and in one life i was able to chain either 3 or 4 Swarms within a single life just by not leaving a crate, any and all manual labor on my end was either calling in my streak, or sending out my Loitering Munitions rockets. Definitely needs some work done, because the Swarm is powerful enough to be very destructive on large scale maps as long as there isn't much cover from the skies.
Looping streaks are always good. I think they should follow the system of 2011 MW3 with the different strike packages. A UAV from the assault package was 3 kills, but the Support UAV was 4, with the added benefit of not reseting. I think it adds variety as opposed to not making them loop at all. Looping streaks is its own reward for playing your life.
Black Ops 6 could be the perfect oppertunity to introduce killstreak stacking as a Wildcard. Think about it, you get your option of three additional attachments, double equipment, one additional perk in each perk category / three extra perks, or you can have your streaks stack. (Edit: forgot about the one Wildcard that let you have 4 perks of the same kind as well as Overkill / Underkill which are now just the same thing) Black Ops already has plenty of perks that counter several of the Black Ops themed streaks. So it'd come down to player skill and what kind of loadouts you've built, Treyarch games also usually have some sort of AA based rocket launcher secondary that never gets used, giving players a reason to play a more supportive, anti-streak / streak killer type role, if you notice the enemy team earning a lot of streaks, but nobody on your team is switching classes or attempting to stop enemies from using their streaks; than YOU would have the perfect oppertunity to rack up some score by taking out enemy streaks and knowing where they are / avoiding them.
Stacking streak brings back memories. The higher ones need better balancing but I'm all for keeping it. Another counter is killing streaks need to award more points - OG MW2/3 each streak kill was the equivalent of a full player kill. I could hunt UAVs all day and get rewarded with my own UAVs.
In order to loop or stack, i would say make the player Cranked in order to: A) Qualify for a kill streak to attack kills towers another killstreak, and: B) Be able to loop killstreaks. Getting a kill while cranked would allow the looping or stacking to take place. It would also reduce the likelihood of camping to build streaks.
I've played in multiple games where the sky is so full of vtols, o/watch helis, chopper gunners etc that the entire team that was pinned and getting shit on ALL left the game. Streaks are useless if there's nobody left to kill.
Agree a bit with stacking and looping streaks. We were getting chopper gunner after chopper gunner through stacking and looping. But the other side was at fault as well for not taking out the chopper gunner. Everyone should have a loadout for taking out killstreaks (launcher and incendiary ammo) and switch to that when needed.
How about if you can choose to turn on stacking but if you do after you loop through all kill streaks you are always on radar and if your go through again the other team gets a even larger advanced uav view of you to balance it out
Looping in itself in cool with, but the way it is currently should only be for featured playlists as a playlist perk of sorts. I actually think playlist ‘perks’ would be an awesome addition to cod. The playlist perk for this could be called ‘anything goes.’ Other perks could be extended match lengths, cranked, mercenary (no parties), snipers only, SMG’s only, shotguns only, maxed out player counts, etc,
I've been playing the no streaks rustment playlist, it shows you really quick a lot of players really rely on streaks to be good or get a majority of their kills. So many camping on top of rust... So many camping in spawn shotting across on shipment 😅
I like stacking streaks because it adds an extra layer of complexity when deciding what streaks to combo. Perhaps, they can increase the cost of streaks to balance it though.
The only problem with looping streaks is the low score loops. Things that run Personal UAV, UAV, Counter UAV. While not the most fun, it almost guarantees a permanent UAV for your team.
I have been having the BEST time with the looping and stacking streaks since they've been added back! It is absolutely and objectively more fun to dominate match after match getting 100+ kills. Rather than being stopped after getting my swarm, and then that's it. Personally I believe they should make the DNA Bomb/Nuke equivalent loopable as well. I think going on a 50, 60, 75, or 90+ killstreak should rewarded the same as the initial 25 or 30 killstreak.
The problem was that hand cannon and war machine were so laughably overpowered that you still weren't really risking much being aggressive (except for the singular case of trophy systems with war machine), and even worse than that they contributed to you getting a nuke along with death machine. So they just completely outclassed every single scorestreak in the game except strafe run and harp(if no jammers), and for far less score. They just didn't balance them well in cold war Also, you don't have to be that aggressive with hand cannon. You could play very slow and defensive with it, which is what I see a lot of people do. Sit in cover and pop out with the crazy move speed for one shot, then back into cover. War machine is even worse about that because they don't even have to aim in close quarters
Agree 100% We'd need EMP and Flak guns type streaks to counter some of the more powerful streaks. WWII shipment springs to mind with paratroopers and ball turrets dominating the end of matches. Still, a lot better than the recent versions of random spawn FFA shipment
Here is a valid argument against Looping Streaks. UAV and CUAV looping, objective play, and you are not the only person on your team. Your UAV feeds into ally UAV/CUAV or your CUAV feeds into ally UAV/CUAV. In games where you can have both this is hell. It also gives teams an massive advantage against solo players, they can coordinate their streaks which is not skill based. Looping streaks also makes getting the Nuke, DNA Bomb, or whatever easier. On the flip side high end streaks tend to only reward 1 person, you being on the enemy team might as well leave the game and you being on the streak user's team might as well leave the game as the enemies left. Your entire team, you included, benefits and more from getting 5 UAVs over a high end streak. Objective players tends to benefit more from mid streaks simply because they let you immediately target the objective and get 2-6 kills instantly. Map wide control with looping streaks encourages less playing the objective yourself and focusing on gun kills. Lastly, blowing yourself up with a grenade or jumping off a cliff resets your Nuke Progress, you're still earning something by continuing. Seeing these or getting these are some of the most hyped moments in a match.
Since so many people like the "OG" things, I think they do enjoy the thrill to shot down gun ships before that gun ship earns another as well. For me well in short terms I do like both looping and stacking streaks, cuz I started cod from new mw2 and didn't really experience this. I think maybe buff launchers so they always 1 shot any streak could balance stacking streaks?
uav/cuav -> cluster mines/else -> gunship -> uav/cuav -> shits cycle infinitely even without any gunfight after earning the first cluster mine. Is this really fun? Even though I play like that, I don't know if it's fun.
I want to see a system like Black Ops 2 and 3, where streak kills and assists (like uav assists) net you 10 points, and you can loop through them. It’s just that you have to rely more on gun kills…
For stacking, regardless of how many kills, i think the reward should be one kill or appropriate points for one kill. You used a streak, and you any amount of kills, then you earn 1 stackable kill credit for using it effectively (you could miss an SAE/cruise missile/etc.). And then the next streak, if you get a kill, them you get another one credit, etc.
MW3 with the support streaks that did not reset on death so you can actually take the obj was kind of as good as it gets. Decently balanced as they didn't really get kills and required more than the regular streaks for the things they shared.
have they taken out the mgb ? i dont even get the dna bomb streak consistently even when i get 25 kills, sometimes ill get it sometimes even tho i got 25 kills i dont get it, and the mgb bomb i dont get regardless if i get 30 kills .. dont know if its a glitch or what
As a long, long time viewer I am slightly disappointed you said the og mw2 chopper gunner was only 3 more kills than harrier, I remember back in the day hiding in bushes on wasteland praying my harrier gets 4 kills for me so I can take the nuke home with the chopper lmao
Score contributing to the next streak I'm happy with, but they need to make the streaks strong. The Harrier Chopper Gunner combo in the og MW2 was amazing because those streaks put work. That I feel has been missing, and it's partially due to the fact that they dont want powerful streaks so as to not discourage new players who receive them.
Streak stacking is not a big issue per se, but the old i think the old streak loop should not earn score for the new streak loop. That way you need to go out there to start a new loop of stacking streaks. I.e you have a predator, SAE and helicopter. You need those 5 or 6 kills with your gun to get a predator. The predator can earn you an SAE and the SAE can get you your helicopter. But in order to get the predstor again you need to go out there to get those 5-6 kills for the predator again. I was under the assumption that is was working like that right bow though 😅
I've had a lot of fun the last few weeks spamming airstrikes and missile drones, but yeah i can see that being bad for the game long-term. I'd enjoy seeing looping and stacking together occasionally as a limited time playlist, but otherwise only have one or the other. I like the idea of nerfing how much score streak kills are worth, it makes the high streaks slighty more attainable but not too easy.
I played one session with looping and stacking streaks. I had a UAV a counter UAV and the first Helicopter equipped. After earning the first UAV I practically sat in a corner and my streaks looped on their own at such insane speed I couldn’t keep up with calling them in. In one Round I earned 8!!! of those Helicopters in a row in a singe life. For sure EOMM kicked extremely hard after two of those rounds that the Game was practically unplayable for me.

I'm ok with streaks looping but I personally prefer if they keep stacking streaks for a perk (like MW19 with Killchain) since you can make some nasty combos I think you should give something in return.

Just in my opinion if you choose that perk your position should be pinged on the minimap every time your killstreak gets a kill. The dream would be to turn it into cranked for people who use it but that would be too much.

EITHER, alone, is fine. Both, together, is where its bad. I don't remember a game where it was both simultaneously. In MW 2007 kill streak kills counted, but didnt loop. You could however save your kill streak (chopper) til after you died and it would count towards a fresh streak. In mw2 2009 kill streak kills counted, but i dont think if you got an AC130 and died, that by using the AC130 any of those kills counted towards a new streak.
So, yes, this new system is kind of toxic where you get both aspects. It 100% promotes camping and using big kill streaks which will snowball and youll get dna nukes along the way.
Looping streaks is one of the best things happen to Mw3. I started playing because of it again! I quit because if bad team mates every game so having score streaks help me and team. Advanced UAV is a game changer and so much fun especially Small Map moshpit with the new Hardline Vest gives constant Advanced UAV and I had 8 in 1 game
SBMM already makes getting a nuke insane. There is no way they got rid of looping to make nukes harder
This might sound crazy but what if there was a temporary playlist for 100% stacking streaks and looping streaks for people that like a super chaotic and unfair experience?
Also, the worst thing is that at the moment streak kills count towards the DNA bomb, which is stupid. Like I could get the loitering munitions and sit back and let it earn me the missile drone, which will earn me the chopper gun or swarms and so on….
I had a dude on my team drop three DNA bombs back to back to back because he just kept looping UAV, Counter UAV, and Advanced UAV.

Just have each successive loop have each streak cost one more kill than the previous loop. So for a 3-5-7 streak selection, you'd get your second loop at 11-14-17 instead of 10-12-14
I love looping streaks and yah normally i don't use lethal streaks. My usual streaks are UAV, Counter UAV and Advance UAV before they've made AUAV in the same grouping with EMP. Nobody uses EMP anymore.
FYI I hated stocking streaks but unfortunately they are trying it right now. IMHO they are using the MW3 current streaks some sort of beta testing if this kind of scheme would be desired in BO6.

I like stacking streaks. The counter? Shoot down enemy streaks. It’s an incentive to do so, and with editing classes in game, you can do more for your team than just popping on cold blooded.
That person hiding in the back? They now have to move because their streak reward got eliminated.
Looping should be a default, but stacking was a terrible Idea. I honestly would like support and Specialist streaks to make a come back. Just make it a button to push to switch streaks to "Support" style and it triples the value needed of streaks or something.
The Specialist streaks I just miss collecting all the perks and feeling like a monster 😂

Looping and stacking streaks was what made CoD, CoD. That being said, Id be happy if they kept it how MW3 is right now.
Stacking should be available, but as a perk. In a more traditional perk structure, I think it could compete against Flak Jacket and Ghost.
Looping Streaks have brought back life into the game for me, it's rewards the player and the team for keeping each other alive, it was like that in BO2 and that game was top tier
We need looping scorestreaks streaks and score from those streaks should definitely count towards your next streak. But kill chain should be a perk only. A perk in a very competitive category.
100% agree but I would also love to be able to use only one streak and just loop that (like just get a uav every 500 points) and be able to select any combination of streaks, like a uav AND RC-XD even if they're the same score, just make one of them an extra kill. Because as it is I just can't use some steaks without giving up a UAV. I got it's for balance but I don't care I just want to have fun and choose my own steaks

Make it a choice like kill/scorestreaks. You can either choose for them to loop or have your streaks contribute to your next one but not have it loop and you have to die to get them again. That way you can still get a nuke with the help of your streaks but it's not constant streak spam and if you're good enough to loop high end streaks, that's just your effort and how good you are at the game and you should have the ability to capitalise on it.
I thought about this too but I think almost everyone would choose stacking streaks because it’s much more powerful than looping. Most people would probably die before earning all their streaks again anyway so looping would be useless to them.

I definitely think looping streaks is a good thing and should stay in future games, but stacking streaks can be a big problem especially when its combined with looping streaks.
Another benefit of lethal streaks, especially vehicles, is that they provide cover for you as you continue to go on a streak. Also if your map awareness is on point, you’ll learn where the enemies are spawning and where they likely are.
Although I agree with you. I think they need to buff the launchers so that killing the the kill streaks is easier.
Looping and stacking steaks is awesome. Especially if you're a solo player fighting a party.
I don't mind the stacking streaks with the half value method. I think they could even have it be variable amounts where the strongest kill streaks are worth a third or a quarter as much as a gun/equipment kill
How about...
- Have looping streaks, and if they want to keep nukes from being too easy to earn, up the score requirement for a nuke, or make it a gun-streak only reward (30-35 kills)
- Stacking should count minimally toward subsequent streaks, such as 10 score where a gun kill would be 100, like Black Ops 4

I don't have a strong opinion on looping streaks, but you describe it well, and I agree.
Stacking streaks however, is an absolutely horrendous idea. I tend to mainly play for the win rather than kdr/individual performance, and once that snowball starts rolling, it's usually over. Whoever gets the big streak first, wins.
I agree with your suggestions in general, but preferably, I'd only keep a portion of the score from non-lethal streaks stack stack towards your next streak. Preferably zero score from lethal killstreaks should count towards your next one, everyone should earn them the good old way, by using your gun skill. Passive play styles should never be encouraged imo.

Funny how you have to explain looping and stacking streaks to modern cod players lol. Btw I love both looping and stacking streaks. Killstreaks has always been the main reason for me or most us to play COD and if anything it's always fun to get bunch of streaks on a roll. Stacking should be a perk IMO just like MW2019 had killchain, and I always used it no matter what other perks were there in that perk slot cause as I said I play cod for the score/killstreaks.

I’m having a ton of fun with the looping and stacking combo, but I understand how toxic it is and it probably shouldn’t be in the game. Looping needs to stay though.
I was playing a game of Meat last night. The entire game I had a turret, vtol or swarm active at all times and of course also dropped a DNA bomb.
It's been fun as a support player to have the current streak system, especially getting the EMP from only a few kills and a bunch of UAV assists, but still feel it would better to do away with the stacking.
Personally I think they should allow you to either loop your streaks or stack them like how you can choose score streaks or killstreaks. You can just make it another option
As soon as season 4 started, I immediately started seeing the sky constantly filled with mid to high end streaks during many matches. All it takes is one standout enemy and suddenly you're spending the rest of the match shooting down streaks, all the while the enemies are getting more streaks from killing you while you're distracted. Stacking streaks are awful
One idea I had a few years back if they wanted to have looping streaks but keep the nuke hard to earn was to make streaks earned on loops have some sort of visual indicator (Like a small icon, or a different color) and using any streak earned this way would prevent you from earning a nuke in that life.
Granted, I agree with Ace in that it's not a huge deal to have nukes work with looping streaks, but I could see the devs wanting to do otherwise.
I think this is the best the game has felt since the og mw2/bops1/mw3 days. Its nice to have streaks feel valuable again, whilst also being risky since they can get shot down or disabled so easily

I think looping streaks is fine, but if you get kills with those streaks they should not count twards gettting the streaks again.
Idk it depends. The scorestreak spam is so lame. Just getting one emp or drone strike guarantees you another on as long as youre holding off or camping.

Looping or not makes really no difference from the enemies perspective, cuz that person will just get them again from the next life and with looping, it makes you want to keep rushing to get more and more streaks. Definitely a system I wanted back, i'm glad it's back, it's fun to have again and i want Bo6 to have it. Streaks earn Streaks is just stupid. For reference, I played a match of Meat where I benefitted from it. In fact, I benefitted from it so much, to the point that I was sitting in my spawn most of the match using the returning Reaper Drone they just brought back to get a UAV, then popped up from the spawn crate I was prone next to, got 1 kill, got my carpet bomber, got a couple kills with that and went immediately back into my Reaper Drone for the second time. I mean if that's not OP, unfair and straight up braindead, then idk what is lol. It was fun for the match, but clearly it's not fair at all. Also, I wanna loop UAVs to try and get Nukes, at least that isn't really that unfair or OP in comparison to looping heavy lethal streaks to get unlimited streaks.
Yep same thing happened to me. My wheelson or drone would get so many kills it would immediately give me another one. Even i thought that was too much.

Definitely agree with you. I love looping streaks, but stacking streaks can be very OP.
For example, I ended up getting a Swarm on Shipment and I was able to sit back and it would nearly loop me all the way back to a VTOL which then could carry me to another Swarm. Don't get me wrong, its fun to just see the kills pile up, but it did not feel nearly as earned as it was to get those streaks before this season.
I’m an objective players so I care more about staying alive to maintain the lead so I don’t really care about streaks. I would want an alternative, like idk I could capture flags faster and more points for holding a hard point etc.
I’m an objective player, I absolutely need streaks because I can never depend on my teammates to contribute. Plus playing the objective is the best way to earn your streaks
I wish call of duty would lean in to this more, rewards OBJ players with faster and more efficient ways to play the OBJ, while providing players who can slay out ,killstreaks.
I rather win then get a bunch of kills in an objective game. I hate being on a losing team and the top dude on my team has 100 kills. Like cool, but we lost. The fact that you kept calling in streaks and we still lost is even more sad. I'll always take the person with like 2min on the hard point over the guy with 10 seconds and 80+ kills.

I think a great idea is to have stacking streaks if you dedicate your character class to the strategist playstyle. The idea of them is to focus on throwing their bodies on point and helping their teamates, so letting them have stacking streaks, or maybe double score for taking out streaks/getting kills on point would help to balance that playstyle (granted they run all three perks matching that). The way the strategist is meant to be played is inherently selfless, so either this would make them campy, or I'm hoping it would encourage them even more to play obj, especially if they had significantly faster streak progress while on the obj. Another alternative is for support streaks with a strategist loadout to offer more points towards your next streaks, and maybe placing a killstreak on an objective either buffs it or makes it gather a boosted score.
I know it is a very specific situation, but I ran a shipment match with some friends, and ended up dropping a Swarm. The Swarm would obviously kill everything, and in one life i was able to chain either 3 or 4 Swarms within a single life just by not leaving a crate, any and all manual labor on my end was either calling in my streak, or sending out my Loitering Munitions rockets.
Definitely needs some work done, because the Swarm is powerful enough to be very destructive on large scale maps as long as there isn't much cover from the skies.
Looping streaks are always good. I think they should follow the system of 2011 MW3 with the different strike packages. A UAV from the assault package was 3 kills, but the Support UAV was 4, with the added benefit of not reseting. I think it adds variety as opposed to not making them loop at all. Looping streaks is its own reward for playing your life.
Black Ops 6 could be the perfect oppertunity to introduce killstreak stacking as a Wildcard. Think about it, you get your option of three additional attachments, double equipment, one additional perk in each perk category / three extra perks, or you can have your streaks stack.
(Edit: forgot about the one Wildcard that let you have 4 perks of the same kind as well as Overkill / Underkill which are now just the same thing)
Black Ops already has plenty of perks that counter several of the Black Ops themed streaks. So it'd come down to player skill and what kind of loadouts you've built, Treyarch games also usually have some sort of AA based rocket launcher secondary that never gets used, giving players a reason to play a more supportive, anti-streak / streak killer type role, if you notice the enemy team earning a lot of streaks, but nobody on your team is switching classes or attempting to stop enemies from using their streaks; than YOU would have the perfect oppertunity to rack up some score by taking out enemy streaks and knowing where they are / avoiding them.
Stacking streak brings back memories. The higher ones need better balancing but I'm all for keeping it. Another counter is killing streaks need to award more points - OG MW2/3 each streak kill was the equivalent of a full player kill. I could hunt UAVs all day and get rewarded with my own UAVs.
In order to loop or stack, i would say make the player Cranked in order to:
A) Qualify for a kill streak to attack kills towers another killstreak, and:
B) Be able to loop killstreaks.
Getting a kill while cranked would allow the looping or stacking to take place. It would also reduce the likelihood of camping to build streaks.
I've played in multiple games where the sky is so full of vtols, o/watch helis, chopper gunners etc that the entire team that was pinned and getting shit on ALL left the game.
Streaks are useless if there's nobody left to kill.

OG MW2 and MW3 had looping and stacking. Those were both incredibly fun games.
Agree a bit with stacking and looping streaks. We were getting chopper gunner after chopper gunner through stacking and looping. But the other side was at fault as well for not taking out the chopper gunner. Everyone should have a loadout for taking out killstreaks (launcher and incendiary ammo) and switch to that when needed.

How about if you can choose to turn on stacking but if you do after you loop through all kill streaks you are always on radar and if your go through again the other team gets a even larger advanced uav view of you to balance it out
Looping in itself in cool with, but the way it is currently should only be for featured playlists as a playlist perk of sorts. I actually think playlist ‘perks’ would be an awesome addition to cod. The playlist perk for this could be called ‘anything goes.’ Other perks could be extended match lengths, cranked, mercenary (no parties), snipers only, SMG’s only, shotguns only, maxed out player counts, etc,
I've been playing the no streaks rustment playlist, it shows you really quick a lot of players really rely on streaks to be good or get a majority of their kills. So many camping on top of rust... So many camping in spawn shotting across on shipment 😅
I like stacking streaks because it adds an extra layer of complexity when deciding what streaks to combo. Perhaps, they can increase the cost of streaks to balance it though.
The only problem with looping streaks is the low score loops. Things that run Personal UAV, UAV, Counter UAV. While not the most fun, it almost guarantees a permanent UAV for your team.
Looping streaks should definitely be in all future games. Looping and stacking should be a separate permanent game mode
I have been having the BEST time with the looping and stacking streaks since they've been added back! It is absolutely and objectively more fun to dominate match after match getting 100+ kills. Rather than being stopped after getting my swarm, and then that's it. Personally I believe they should make the DNA Bomb/Nuke equivalent loopable as well. I think going on a 50, 60, 75, or 90+ killstreak should rewarded the same as the initial 25 or 30 killstreak.
Since the looping of streaks, ive gotten like 15 dna bombs. In context, i only got 3 nukes in mw3 until they added looping streaks
i liked the system in cold war where you got score from gun streaks like the hand cannon that meant you had to be aggressive
The problem was that hand cannon and war machine were so laughably overpowered that you still weren't really risking much being aggressive (except for the singular case of trophy systems with war machine), and even worse than that they contributed to you getting a nuke along with death machine. So they just completely outclassed every single scorestreak in the game except strafe run and harp(if no jammers), and for far less score. They just didn't balance them well in cold war
Also, you don't have to be that aggressive with hand cannon. You could play very slow and defensive with it, which is what I see a lot of people do. Sit in cover and pop out with the crazy move speed for one shot, then back into cover. War machine is even worse about that because they don't even have to aim in close quarters
Agree 100% We'd need EMP and Flak guns type streaks to counter some of the more powerful streaks. WWII shipment springs to mind with paratroopers and ball turrets dominating the end of matches. Still, a lot better than the recent versions of random spawn FFA shipment
Here is a valid argument against Looping Streaks. UAV and CUAV looping, objective play, and you are not the only person on your team. Your UAV feeds into ally UAV/CUAV or your CUAV feeds into ally UAV/CUAV. In games where you can have both this is hell. It also gives teams an massive advantage against solo players, they can coordinate their streaks which is not skill based.
Looping streaks also makes getting the Nuke, DNA Bomb, or whatever easier.
On the flip side high end streaks tend to only reward 1 person, you being on the enemy team might as well leave the game and you being on the streak user's team might as well leave the game as the enemies left. Your entire team, you included, benefits and more from getting 5 UAVs over a high end streak.
Objective players tends to benefit more from mid streaks simply because they let you immediately target the objective and get 2-6 kills instantly. Map wide control with looping streaks encourages less playing the objective yourself and focusing on gun kills.
Lastly, blowing yourself up with a grenade or jumping off a cliff resets your Nuke Progress, you're still earning something by continuing. Seeing these or getting these are some of the most hyped moments in a match.
Since so many people like the "OG" things, I think they do enjoy the thrill to shot down gun ships before that gun ship earns another as well.
For me well in short terms I do like both looping and stacking streaks, cuz I started cod from new mw2 and didn't really experience this. I think maybe buff launchers so they always 1 shot any streak could balance stacking streaks?
Looping streaks is a great addition. Stacking streaks, however, should be nonexistent.
uav/cuav -> cluster mines/else -> gunship -> uav/cuav -> shits cycle infinitely even without any gunfight after earning the first cluster mine. Is this really fun? Even though I play like that, I don't know if it's fun.
I want to see a system like Black Ops 2 and 3, where streak kills and assists (like uav assists) net you 10 points, and you can loop through them. It’s just that you have to rely more on gun kills…
For stacking, regardless of how many kills, i think the reward should be one kill or appropriate points for one kill. You used a streak, and you any amount of kills, then you earn 1 stackable kill credit for using it effectively (you could miss an SAE/cruise missile/etc.). And then the next streak, if you get a kill, them you get another one credit, etc.
what about increasing the cost of streaks if you get all of them? it would also nerf equipping only UAVs

MW3 with the support streaks that did not reset on death so you can actually take the obj was kind of as good as it gets. Decently balanced as they didn't really get kills and required more than the regular streaks for the things they shared.
have they taken out the mgb ? i dont even get the dna bomb streak consistently even when i get 25 kills, sometimes ill get it sometimes even tho i got 25 kills i dont get it, and the mgb bomb i dont get regardless if i get 30 kills .. dont know if its a glitch or what

Streak looping has made MW2023 a night and day better experience. I only use UAV and Advanced as well, so I'm not even spamming choppers in the air.
Speaking of streaks I really hope they let us use any combination of streaks.
As a long, long time viewer I am slightly disappointed you said the og mw2 chopper gunner was only 3 more kills than harrier, I remember back in the day hiding in bushes on wasteland praying my harrier gets 4 kills for me so I can take the nuke home with the chopper lmao
Score contributing to the next streak I'm happy with, but they need to make the streaks strong.
The Harrier Chopper Gunner combo in the og MW2 was amazing because those streaks put work. That I feel has been missing, and it's partially due to the fact that they dont want powerful streaks so as to not discourage new players who receive them.
I think looping streaks would be great, but I think it should take half a kill more to earn it every time it loops
Streak stacking is not a big issue per se, but the old i think the old streak loop should not earn score for the new streak loop. That way you need to go out there to start a new loop of stacking streaks. I.e you have a predator, SAE and helicopter. You need those 5 or 6 kills with your gun to get a predator. The predator can earn you an SAE and the SAE can get you your helicopter. But in order to get the predstor again you need to go out there to get those 5-6 kills for the predator again. I was under the assumption that is was working like that right bow though 😅

I've had a lot of fun the last few weeks spamming airstrikes and missile drones, but yeah i can see that being bad for the game long-term. I'd enjoy seeing looping and stacking together occasionally as a limited time playlist, but otherwise only have one or the other. I like the idea of nerfing how much score streak kills are worth, it makes the high streaks slighty more attainable but not too easy.
I played one session with looping and stacking streaks. I had a UAV a counter UAV and the first Helicopter equipped. After earning the first UAV I practically sat in a corner and my streaks looped on their own at such insane speed I couldn’t keep up with calling them in. In one Round I earned 8!!! of those Helicopters in a row in a singe life.
For sure EOMM kicked extremely hard after two of those rounds that the Game was practically unplayable for me.
Will it be 100 or 150 health!!!
