Id say its more in line with split second. Filling up gauge as you drift but instead of activating traps or obstacles you speed up.

So much of this review feels like he never played past bronze or maybe silver. Not many maps? As you rank up more maps are unlocked into the rotation. Can't hit over 30% in start? You definitely didn't survive in gold (and you gotta hit it on frame 1 to get 100, my guess his internet issues he admitted to having during the review were worse than he thought) and an easy casual racer? If you're not getting perfect lines in plat and beyond you're NOT catching up.

The maps change as you rank up. The harder tracks appear when you're a higher rank
You need to stack your boost to prevent being overtaken at the finishline. Theres massive issues with matchmaking where most of the time games fail to start which sends the player back to the home lobby to start again.. this seems to throw the games track loading out and you only see the first few tracks over and over. It needs a stack of bug fixes. But its fine. Im waiting for rocketleague to be swallowed whole by fortnite, any day now.
Incorrect. Maps are randomly shuffled but in early bronze and silver ranks you only get the most basic maps with 0 hazards. Higher rank placements put you on more complex maps or upgraded versions of the simple ones. I’m in plat 3 now and the maps are a lot more difficult and interesting.
next is Fortnite Football, Fortnite Football (soccer), Fortnite Truck Simulator, Fortnite Sim City, Fortnite-dew Valley, Fortnite Fortnite Simulator, Fortnite Fishing, Fortnite Hand Simulator, etc.
Fortnite style soccer would be nice 👍

You have to mention that the cars that you do unlock in rocket racing, or also available in rocket league. And vice versa so the two games are sharing content.
No. Barely. And they removed trading under the pretense that it was for this game. None of that is a positive for the rocket League community
So basically you have to rank up higher to get the difficult levels, bronze rank silver get the same boring maps but gold diamond platinum champion unreal ranks get the better maps
Would love some Star Wars pod racing customs on this. Would fit into the fortnite season style. Or ehatever season it is the cars mimic it.
This is one of the best racing games ever created - it seems simple on the surface but the amount of control you have over your vehicle means there is an insane amount of depth. This review didn’t even show any of the hardest maps, where this skill is required to even compete

It really isn’t a big deal, if you play perfectly, you will win every race no matter what. There is no situation where this mechanic if it really exists, will cause you to lose. That being said, other racers hitting you CAN cause you to lose, but then again if you play perfectly and take every single path correctly you won’t lose
