The original pizzas in their most perfect form, the Margherita and Marinara, were created in Naples, a city in southern Italy. Over the centuries, many different variations of pizza were introduced around the world. But Naples continues to use the original recipe for traditional pizza. What happens when a Hawaiian pizza is delivered to some Neapolitans instead of the traditional pizza they had ordered. We find out in this hidden camera video.

As a Hawaiian and person from Hawaii, most of us hate Hawaiian Pizza. Because Hawaiian Pizza was not invented in Hawaii, it was invented by a man in Canada, and he marketed it as Hawaiian Pizza. We hate being associated with Hawaiian Pizza all the time and we dislike being blamed by the rest of the world for creating something we had nothing to do with. In Hawaii, we don't eat pizza with pineapple. The special pizza we eat here is Kalua Pig and BBQ Sauce.

Apparently its too "heavy" of a drink after the morning. In the morning because they only eat sweets like cornettos and pastries, they pair it with the cappuccino.

I'm Lithuanian, we were ordering pizza from a good pizzeria here and I bought a pineapple one for the kids just for shits and giggles, even though they usually eat Margherita. They ate the pizza, but removed the pineapple, even though nobody told them about pineapple pizzas being wrong. Even the kids know.

Every region would have their own pizza. Like America. But it is new so there is only the margherite and American pizzas. No the Napolitans invented it and then brought it to America. Like hamburger and hot dogs. The German brought it to America and America brought it to the world.

The first recipes published for pizza in Italian, including Neapolitan, were all sweet. The Romans had something very similar with honey, dates and nuts etc. If no one messed with traditional fooooooods, you wouldn't have pizza with cheese and tomato.

Già nei comuni confinanti di Pozzuoli, Bacoli, Monte di Procida il dialetto cambia: quindi non esiste nessuna lingua. Altrimenti anche il Romanesco sarebbe una lingua , visto che la Città di Roma fa 3 milioni d'abitanti.

-L'Italia è una sorta di piccolo continente con vari paesi (regni e principati) in cui si parlano varie lingue (napoletano, siciliano, toscano, sardo, veneto ecc.)
-Queste lingue sono l'evoluzione del latino in quelle zone
-Il toscano diventa la lingua della letteratura e della cultura, soprattutto grazie a Dante, le cui opere sono scritte in toscano volgare (cioè popolare)
-Le persone colte iniziano a parlare, oltre la loro lingua madre, anche toscano per poter interagire con gli altri italiani (che era come dire oggi europeo)
-Con l'unità d'Italia si sceglie il toscano come lingua nazionale ribattezzandolo italiano e declassando le altre lingue ormai regionali (perchè da regni e principati si è passati a regioni) a dialetti dell'italiano.
La tua obiezione sulla loro diffusione è errata, intanto perchè ci sono lingue minori che non sono parlate in un intero paese ma sono comunque considerate lingue (ad esempio le lingue indiane che sono tantissime), poi perchè un tempo erano parlate eccome in uno stato, ad esempio il veneto era la lingia ufficiale della Serenissima Repubblica Di Venezia, che era come l'attuale Repubblica Italiana, uno stato.
Per farti capire ancora meglio che sono lingue:
Italiano: Il mio nome è Marco
Spagnolo: Mi nombre es Marco
Portoghese: Meu nome é marco
Francese: Mon nom est Marco

Come puoi vedere le altre lingue neolatine non sono più diverse dall'italino rispetto alle lingue regionali, alcune sono addirittura più vicine.
Una vera variante dell'italiano potrebbe essere il romano che ha delle differenze ma non abbastanza da essere una lingua a parte, mentre gli altri "dialetti" hanno lessico, grammatica, storia (sono state lingue ufficiali) e un patrimonio culturale (letteratura e canzoni).
Per quanto riguarda le varianti del napoleano da te citate, quelli sono considerabili dialetti della lingua napoletana.

As someone, who was born in raised in Hawai'i, I would like to say that "Hawaiian" pizza was invented in Canada by a Greek immigrant. We had no part in this monstrosity and in fact, most us hate for the people think you can call something Hawaiian" simply by putting #$$%$ pineapple on it
It was because the brand of pineapple originally used was Hawaiian.

In Naples we don't give importance to fake politeness, we just directly say what we think and I LOVE that, especially after 2 years living in a country that's exactly the opposite.
The pizza guy is meant to be provocative and to generate those reactions to make a fun video. He's insisting and pissing them off on purpose. In their shoes you would also love to push him down the stairs, you are just too polite and afraid of confrontation to say it.
The woman is a chav and unfortunately this is how our chavs are. If they feel disrespected they react aggressively, but if you judge a whole city just because of that your cultural level is even lower than that woman's.
Napoli is a pearl full of beauty and good vibes, it's very different from any other city you can see in Europe and you should definitely visit it before judging. The liveliness of our people and a way of life that still smells of more genuine times makes it so special you can't even imagine.
Yes it is run down, old, dirty and chaotic, and that is part of its unique charm. It's a real place with real people.
If you only like clean, modern and quiet cities where you can feel in your comfort zone then stay away, but at least try not to feel superior. You are not.

The other guy who said "putting pineapple on pizza in Naples is like burning the American flag in front of war veteran" actually gets it. Anybody who spent a minimal amount of time in Italy, knows a minimal element about the Italian culture knows how food and gastronomy are EXTREMELY SERIOUS MATTERS in Italy. Culinary nationalism is a really existing sociopolitical phenomenon.
And it might be worth adding that it doesn't seem like a coincidence to me that the regions of the world where people are genuinely defensive about their food and culture in that manner also tends to be the places that maintains the best local cuisine, affordable, delicious people's food, still not completely ran over by americanized fast food garbage....
