- Ted's next museum adventures too us to South Yorkshire, at the site of former RAF Doncaster. What a place this is and the museum is on our recommended “must visit places” by the Ted Coningsby channel. The experience was wonderful and there is more than just aircraft to enjoy here. The collection of artefacts and memorabilia is phenomenal. The museum is wonderfully organised and themed.
We would like to to thank volunteer Tom, who made our whole day an experience we will never forget. The volunteers work so hard and put in so many hours to keep the aircraft in not only tip top condition, but to turn airframes that have once told a story with warping metal, rust, faded paint, a bare shell with panels that would need more than a day to remove…the amount of hours and days spent in the workshop from the team is heart warming. They bring back to life the engines and airframes, wing by wing, cylinder by cylinder, rivet by rivet.

Hi TCS went to that museum several years ago and well worth a visit. New someone who kept their Bell 47 helicopter their as part of a bigger helicopter collection. Nice change of pace like your lost airfields. Maybe visit a few more, I can recommend Flixton, Newark and Norwich to name just three. You never disappoint Nikos, Ted and Claire bear.

I’m an ex raf sooty on harrier gr7/9 as the raf an Royal Navy was upgrading them we were told the government were going to disband all harrier squadrons it was a disheartening thing to be told as we put are heart sweat an blood into upgrading them to be told sorry stop later on as we all know they are now in an American desert just sitting there with plenty of life left in them but know the Americans have already took parts of them to keep the av8bs going
