6k 4:2:0 (23.6MP÷4=5.9MP) has more colour resolution than 4k 4:2:2 (8.8MP÷2=4.4MP). Even if you match the aspect ratios, 6k 17:9 is still 18.8MP, so it still has 4.7MP worth of colour resolution. You made the right choice.
