• I loved the parallels between Alex and Maggie with the Jeremiah and Alura thing... This video sucks.. I'll probably delete it later but I wanted to do something with this... I'm feeling a little down and this is the result. Like supergirl I'll take a hiatus from vidding.
I know i'm not vidding nothing more than supergirl but almost all my tv shows got deleted and i've to download and cut all the scenes again and my laptop is not properly working.

Wow! I can't believe i never noticed the parallels between Kara finding out her mom wasn't the hero she thought she was, and Alex finding out her dad worked for Cadmus. That was very powerful
I think one of the reasons I LOVE this relationship is because I feel like I can really relate to Alex as the older sister, that always had high expectations, and then a younger brilliant sibling comes along (or in my case siblings) and like... at first you have to get past your jealousy, and then, something changes. and you realize protecting them and supporting them is the MOST important thing you can do.
but the part that GETS me is that Kara is a superhero. she has powers she can fly in a lot of ways, she doesn't really need Alex to protect her the way a normal sibling would. but alex never stops trying. she finds a new way, she learns how to fight, she pilots an alien ship out into space to go get her because if Kara can fly, then Alex will figure out how to fly too.
and if there's something she physically can't do, then she takes care of her in other ways. she helps pick out her outfits, and gives her dating advice, and hugs her when she's sad. and she tries to protect kara's normal life, her job, her friendships, etc.
This kind of relationship is so important to me because I just /feel/ for Alex because I know what it's like to think you're useless, and what can you do to help them at all? but then you see it in the way Alex will always show up, even without armor or a plan, right in the middle of a fight, because protecting Kara isn't about being stronger or smarter than her, it's about loving her more than ANYBODY ELSE in the world.
i just think that's so pure.

I have a little sister, so I completely understand exactly what you mean. And I've always thought that about Alex. Always. I couldn't have said that any better, in fact, I couldn't have said that at all. But anyway, I've always felt like I can relate to Alex as well, she always tries to make things better, she always tries to understand, she always chooses that Kara's life is more important than hers, her parents constantly relied on her and only her to protect Kara, she always chooses Kara's happieness over her own, even if it makes her miserable, and she always loves Kara, no matter what. I can really relate to that. I wish I could be the big sister that Alex is. I do think that both Kara and Alex should get and keep happieness, am I the only one who doesn't understand why they can't just keep happieness? Anyway, the point is, I can relate to Alex. A lot. I'm a lot like Alex, actually. I've never thought about it so much before, I'm WAY more like Alex than I thought. One thing I've never understood and still don't is, why do my parents act like they like my sister more? I don't personally mind it, but why don't they just admit it? Anyway, thanks for reading. I can soo relate to Alex.

ohh fuck my life. just kill me now. this video was beautiful as it was and that ending from Alex just fuckin killed me. fuck my life. so damn beautiful. Chyler Leigh is honestly such a sweetheart. she really does have this big sister and comforting vibe irl man. Her hugs are so damn awesome too!!
