Yes Seung Jo fell in love with Ha Ni because she was there when he was confused, at a lost when his father had health and business problems. Hani was the only one who truly understands him, gave comforting words to ease the burden on his shoulder. Seung Jo was very undecided what's life after high school but Hani strongly encouraged him that being a doctor can helped a lot of very sick people, and he embraced that concept. He slowly mellowing down with Hani as he sees her the only person who can read his mind and feels his concerns for his family's pressing situation. But the narcissistic Seung Jo will not go away overnight. And I can see that with so much love and care from Ha Ni he'll reciprocate favourably. If there's a sequel to this cute sweet drama, I want to see a Dr Seung Jo devoid of all the negative attitude towards his wife and working together in harmony with their profession; that Ha Ni would develop a tougher stance in life.

Yeah, me too. When i was younger, I love this kind of boys in kdrama, the cold type, cool and smart ones who doesn't pay attention to the girl, like it's giving me butterflies but now that I'm older, yikes I don't watch kdramas with these kind of leading man.
There were a lot of jealous scenes in the earlier episodes too. Like when Ha Ni brings up Joon Gu's cooking ability at the dinner table (in the episode where Seung Jo's mom leaves them all alone in the house) and Seung Jo is like "welp, I'm done eating", when Joon Gu steals the piggyback ride that Seung Jo was supposed to give her, and even on their graduation dinner, Seung Jo was all riled up cause Joon Gu was confessing his feelings for Ha Ni in front of the whole school.
The cooking scene one was the the most in your face obvious jealousy thing that make me laugh out loud. He was so dang insulted that he cooked that food and she just turned around and talked about the other guy. Just livid lol
He was jealous because he had fallen for Hani. You're not pretty but sometimes you're cute, but WHY I like you? (the scene on the sofa before they kiss and he carry her to their bedroom)
If you watch it Seung Jo tends to "punish" Hani when he gets jealous. When Joon Gu or any other boy pays attention to her he gets irritable and takes it out on Hani.

As expected, the comment section called him toxic. I was kind of like that too but then i found out Baek Seungjo's diary video. You guys should watch it and you will understand how much he actually love Hani from the start. Its just his pride at first not to let him realize that he loves Hani because how could a perfect guy like him be together with a girl with a lot of flaws like Hani. But as he grow up and understand more about his surrounding and getting so much experience (Eunjo's accident, his Dad's health, and company crisis), he understand that life is not all about him at the first place. And soon he know that he is in love with her, always.
Well as i stated above, it was his "pride" that made him act like that. Probably because he disliked the thought of his mom controlling his life too thats why he was being mean towards Hani (as his mom wanted them to end up together).

When he noticed the weird psycho guy he went for Ha Ni, He went on dates with her.... people need to understand that Seung Jo had to come out of his comfort zone just because of Ha Ni... His behavior might be questionable for many girls, but Seung Jo tried his best. Don't hate the character. They both deserved each other. Both had to dedicate many things but in two different ways. ❤️
Look at this situation from the other side: Beak Seung j Jo is traumatized because of the treatment from his mother earlier. Oh Ha Ni loves him so much and heales a lot of his pain. Her own pain she forgot soon. So he is able for loving someone. She did better work than a psychiatrist. In conclusion both are happy in love.

Hear me out. His character thinks logically rather than emotionally. And he may appear curt but Hani is a little way too illogical. He has never intentionally hurt her,he just couldn't figure out some things himself. They just match. So I dont think this is toxic

@@subhasmita1333 well, if you want read the manga ver, the manga version doesn't have the ending because the mangaka(author) has died before she can finish it. So her relative (I think her husband) finish it through anime version. So, it's better to watch anime🙆
And I don't think the real author want the male lead being this bad towards female lead😅

As expected, the comment section called him toxic. I was kind of like that too but then i found out Baek Seungjo's diary video. You guys should watch it and you will understand how much he actually love Hani from the start. Its just his pride at first not to let him realize that he loves Hani because how could a perfect guy like him be together with a girl with a lot of flaws like Hani. But as he grow up and understand more about his surrounding and getting so much experience (Eunjo's accident, his Dad's health, and company crisis), he understand that life is not all about him at the first place. And soon he know that he is in love with her, always.
Watched the diary eps, still don't like the way he played with her.
Well as i stated above, it was his "pride" that made him act like that. Probably because he disliked the thought of his mom controlling his life too thats why he was being mean towards Hani (as his mom wanted them to end up together).

I watched this drama when I was 14 but even in dat time I was really mad with the way how he treated her the entire time but still hoping them to end up together. But rewatching this drama now it really boils my blood, how they romanticised this type of shit and also I would never want to end up with a guy like this I rather stay single!!!

Seung Jo and Ha Ni had two completely contrasting personalities. Seung Jo treated Ha Ni well too... When he noticed the weird psycho guy he went for Ha Ni, He went on dates with her.... people need to understand that Seung Jo had to come out of his comfort zone just because of Ha Ni... His behavior might be questionable for many girls, but Seung Jo tried his best. Don't hate the character. They both deserved each other. Both had to dedicate many things but in two different ways. ❤️
