@@BrunhildePolzin The Black storks fly over my home, so unfortunately they don't come close enough for me to read any ring colors or ring numbers. My guess is that the Black storks we're following on the Birdmap will take a few weeks to reach me in Israel.

I wonder what happened to him ... I followed him on Birdmap and I saw the last spot was on October 2th , but I was not worried . 🌈🕊🌈 Ciao Karl !

Es ist wirklich traurig. Was neuen Partner für Kaia betrifft. Ich denke es wird kein Problem sein. Anfang der Saison war ein männlicher für einige Tage am Nest und hat Zweige gebracht. Er verschwand an dem Tag, als Karl ankam. Er erinnerte mich an Karl II, er tat das gleiche, als Karl I noch da war. Eine Saison später kam Karl I nicht zurück und Karl II hat mit Kati gebrütet. Das Jahr darauf kam Kati nicht zurück und Karl II hat sich mit Kaia zusammen getan. So wird es weiter gehen. Das Nest ist begehrt.
So nice of Karl to show up one last time to say goodbye to his fans.🙏❤️🥰. I was really wondering if he came to the nest hoping his Storklets would come right behind h8m and maybe he had food for them? But, I have to say that I was a bit sad for h8m cause he was doing a lot of looking around and could have trying to see if he saw one of his youngsters.🤔 It will be sad to not be able to see this family until next season. If I may ask, when does the new season start up again and just where do they go when they go South? One more question, has there ever been a young or teenage Storklets ever stay around the area for longer then they should. God bless the Black Stork family and I pray they stay safe and healthy. I saw the first five migrating Black Storks heading south over my house here in Israel on August 31.
When they came this year. In the Birdmap they are now in Ukraine Rumänien, Polen and not more southwards. Can you make Fotos or a little handyvideo. Eventually you can read a number of a ring. Thank you
