The models I find on the net are mostly flat and not good, but your computer models here are perfect. I never really had a clue on muscle structure or bones until I saw your videos. The leg muscles are the last ones left to cover so I'll be eagerly waiting for those.

    It should be noted that the shape of the toes is also determined by the type of shoes and footwear that a person has, in the same way how you can tell if a woman wears high-heels by looking at the arch in the back, you can tell footwear by the shape of the toes. In cultures where people don't wear shoes the pinky toe isn't always curled in and the toes are slightly more spread out. However, someone like a ballerina will have toes that appear to be crunched together due to how the shoes squish the toes together.
    Or like Chinese foot binding literally crushes the foot into a different shape. Shoes does something similar over many years.
    To add to that, a lot of people can have overpronated or underpronated feet, which will change the angles of the ankles when walking or standing which will make it look like the feet are sagging inwards or outwards. The same goes for foot arches which can vary if people are flat-footed which means they have little to no arch (which also can lead to overpronation).

      @strongindependentblackwoma1887 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Interesting, i guess the forensic investigators use all that knowledge to identify victims.
      I haven't been using shoes for around 5 years (until some months ago lol), that would explain why my pinky finger doesn't look so curved.

      @@strongindependentblackwoma1887 Ouch that doesn't sound like much fun. I guess I should also add that certain ethnic groups have a variety of foot shapes. For instance, I think the famous Kenyan marathon runners come from a tribe where everyone has a very similar foot shape and ankle width. There was a documentary on it I do believe (granted, they are very good runners regardless of foot shape)

    I have wide and stubby feet. I didn’t realize that my feet were so misshapen until someone pointed out that the characters that I draw have weird feet. I’ve only ever used my own feet as a reference so I guess that’s where I went wrong. I think the closest comparison is that of the dwarves from typical fantasy. At least it’s not hobbit feet.

    My 9 year old has gotten quite good at art, but her anatomy is very off, though still great considering her age. Any suggestions for younger artists who want to draw realistically (she does NOT want to be cartoony. She wants her people to look realistic) but that really aren't old enough for the fully nude books out there? She follows your channel but she is looking for art school quality talent yesterday. She is home schooled and draws all day everyday once her work is done. I enjoy drawing but she has quickly surpassed me in the last 3 months.

      Kristin Hard to learn anatomy without learning from the actual body, I recently found online one old reliable "how to draw comics the marvel way", and I found that it still stands the test of time in terms of usefulness, and zero nudity. You might wanna check that one out.

She was expelled from school before we started homeschooling because her people in her story had breasts. She has that book but views it as not "real" figure drawing lol. I'm probably just going to have to give her my Bridgman's book and hope I never have to deal with CPS or somthing
