I think they may make an appearance in Metroid dread. I think metroid dread has more to offer then what was already shown throughout the entire marketing of metroid dread, people are complaining about Nintendo revealing too much, but tbh… if Nintendo is revealing this much information about metroid dread; then it’s because we haven’t even scratched the surface about what metroid dread contains. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Sa-x make an appearance, but even if it doesn’t appear, I am sure that the game will have a bunch of content to offer that has not already been shown. Nintendo wouldn’t reveal something if they knew it would be a major spoiler, so what has already been revealed is information they want people to know. There is a reason they showed off a lot of information. I am betting that the majority of the information they showed in trailers isn’t even any where near a big major spoiler. There may even be a secret major boss.
@@GodSlayer330 I think aside from a flashback we won’t be seeing the SA-X. However I am 100% certain that the X themselves, aswell as the Core-X will be in Dread
@@JohnnyFromVirginia I think what made the Sa-x special is the fact that it didn’t necessarily kill Samus in one hit, it took multiple different bullets to kill Samus where as the emmi can just kill Samus in a single mini cutscene. The Sa-x actually killed you and dwindled down your health with multiple bullets and it’s much harder to get away from the Sa-x then it is to get away from the emmi seemingly. Running away from the emmi seems somewhat easy although can be somewhat a bit challenging seemingly, just not as challenging as it is to get away from the Sa-x when detected by the Sa-x in metroid fusion. I kind of want a remake of Metroid fusion but at the same time I realize that the game doesn’t really need a remake at all. Same can be said about Super Metroid, I do not think Super Metroid needs a remake even though I would want one, and if there is any game that’s going to get a remake, I would assume that a Super Metroid Remake is up next before we ever get a Metroid fusion remake. I am more or less predicting a super Metroid remake coming before a metroid fusion remake. Personally Metroid Fusion is my favorite 2D Metroid game simply for the art alone which I hope they can properly replicate in a remake. I hope they can replicate Metroid Fusions art in a 3D side scroller environment in a future remake.
There’s different ways to be scary. SA-X is creepy, while Mother Brain is grotesque. Kraid’s fear factor comes from sheer intimidation. Seriously, can you imagine being cornered by that thing? Edit: FYI, this isn’t a Top Ten list. It’s just a list of ten characters in no particular order.
Surprised to see Kraid at number 1. He is certainly not the scariest boss in the series. His design, however, is pretty freaky and grotesque overall with those holes in it's belly...plus the constant throwing of finger nail clippings! His return in Dread has been a welcome one! Why should Ridley get all the love?
What I especially love about Metroid Prime is simply the buildup towards it throughout the entire game through the Chozo lore. You know something terrifying is lurking beneath the Chozo temple and simply have to find out.
When I was much younger like I don't know 14, 15 something like that, the parasites Queen in the first Metroid Prime game scared me cuz I didn't even know how big the aliens were going to be in that game. It was my first time playing a Metroid game
@@OkamiPrincess15 Yeah, and there's technically two in Super Metroid. I'm stunned though no one has bothered to correct this video over the Mother Brain comment about the space pirates.
If you had waited another week on this video, I am confident that you would have had the E.M.M.I. from Metroid Dread at the top of your list for sure. The fact that you can’t damage them at all until you receive a very specific weapon is terrifying enough, then capture results in your death with a 1% chance to escape (per the game lore), and finally a very challenging kill once you finally can destroy the things. All-in-all, every encounter had my heart pounding from start to finish. Definitely fear-inducing and definitely an amazing ‘boss’ encounter. I also see some comments about Raven Beak and his infected form. Honestly, I thought Samus’s form in the infected Raven Beak battle was scarier than the actual boss. Infected Raven Beak didn’t really scare me at all, but Samus DEFINITELY did. Very impressive game overall.

I'm pretty sure it's intentional, just as the Metroids are inspired by the Xenomorphs from Aliens. Samus is also based on Ellen Ripley! Space Pirates are in the vein of the Boskone from the Lensman series, being a multi-species collective of ship-jackers who are actually part of a fascistic, strictly controlled empire with scientific aspirations.
An interview confirmed that the X where inspired by the thing. But unlike the thing they don’t care for self preservation of an individual x, but care about the preservation of the species. That’s why they wanted to blow themselves up, if it meant taking down the last Metroid (Samus). That way other X would still survive on SR388
Other M is amazing game. Those who hate it never played it themselves. Just like Skyward Sword the game was so hated back in Wii era and now it's available on Switch people admit its greatness. Other M deserves another chance hope for a remaster on Switch
The issue with Other M is its characterization of Samus and over reliance on gating to prevent open exploration. The main loop of combat and upgrades is fine but its definitely a weaker game in the series. By comparison your use of Skyward Sword is different...alot of people didnt like the controls on Wii (I loved it on wii btw) and its over reliance on puzzles over exploration shown by Nintendos hard course correction and emphasis on open world exploration with Breath of the Wild. Other M is a bad metroid game but a decent game, Skyward sword was bashed in because people felt the controld were awkward (typically because many users werent using Wii motion+)

uk... It makes me remember when I play for the 1st time Metroid Prime had a very Bad luck that when finishes scanning some bosses it gives the data right after it launches it's projectile attack. Acid beam, Meta Ridley Beam/Rush attack, Metroid Prime main attack, well too long to remember all of them. I'll just remembered those 3 since it jump-scare me deciding where to dodge or receive their attack. 1st timers always works and high chance to happen without watching videos or walkthroughs. Doing that it will ruin their jump-scare momentum.
Adam’s helmet? Yeah, it’s a nice memento. Still, he was mean, but leading up to his sacrifice (Aside from shooting Samus and not explaining why he did it, though that could most likely be anger over the corrupt faction of the Galactic Feds using his name in their Metroid revival project even after he said “No” to it), he becomes a little more reasonable by explaining to Samus to finish the Bottle Ship mission and beware of MB (Melissa Bergman) and Ridley (Although the Queen Metroid took care of that and left him in a corpse that would be present in the BSL). Plus, Fusion shows even more kindness by going against the corrupt faction of the Galactic Feds by advising Samus to crash the BSL into SR388 to fully eradicate the X Parasites. And from what we’ve seen in Dread, he simply explains the newest Chozo lore to Samus without orders, but advises her to treat the E.M.M.I.s with care, though given what we seen, they’re the ones not treating her with care and she has to destroy them, something Adam agrees with. (If we see something like that)
I always thought the Game Over where your corrupted in Metroid Prime 3 and you end up turning into Dark Samus afterwards, her eyes says it all when you get corrupted, nightmare fuel really.

@@insanemakaioshin She's the queen, like a queen ant, of a species of bug the Space Pirates were experimenting with on Frigate Orpheon. That's why she's fought in the power core; they escaped, infested the ship, and broke the ship's various systems. That's the distress signal Samus intercepts.
SA-X may be scary as a boss, but as a obstacle, it loses its scariness. TAS bots utterly humiliate it. Not to mention, once you realize it is blind as a bat, it is not so scary. Number 10 for me. If we add the emmi, they are number 10 kicking out the sax. The SAX can only kill you in one shot early game. In dread , the emmi can instantly kill you and you may freeze up after getting caught if you can't keep cool. Phantoon is a scary boss because you truly don't know what he is. He is also quite strong.
i was thinking gandrayda just because she turns into you and begs for her life while being finished off by the corruption. On top of that you are fighting a shapeshifting source of energy the entire fight who used to work with you in the galactic federation. She takes forms of the other friends/ bosses you had to kill before her and the acid rain adds another point. Not the scariest look wise but lore/story wise i would say ganrayda is terrifying
Literally Metroid Prime with phazon versions of Samus's attack and a lust for destruction: Honorable Mentions A big worm with spikes that can just appear randomly: gets a place on the list.
FUN FACT:the charge beam beast or king worm or..... I forgot the 3rd name is the first boss of metroid zero mission aka metroid 1 remake and if it isn't killed upon first encounter you will encounter it somewhere else
Based in the Lore the scariest species are Metroid's. Nobody Metroid universe couldn't match chozo technology. Metroid only can be neutralized with extreme cold temp (AKA ice beam) that chozo technology so others type cold weaponry can get to exact cold temp to freeze them. Pretty much in lore they Metroid's are almost invisible. Only Samus using weaponry and armor based of the max chozo technology. Even in full power Samus struggle to defeat Queen Metroid.
If you just take some bosses from metroid prime and echoes, there's wayyyy scarier ennemies.the chykka fight needed you to constantly move while the boss was throwing a lot at you ,always keeping you on the edge and whenever you'd end up in the poison water you would start panicking.the spiderball boss from echoes was really pressuring to fight when i was a kid too.the invisible drone from the phazon mines was really stressing the first time you face it,since you can't see him and he move so quickly .thardus could be easily avoided but when you'd see him turn into a boulder and roll toward you the first time ,it was really surprising and scaring.this list doesn't even come close to what it should have been .even the flamethrower boss from prime was scarier
You fools put the SA-X at #9, once again demonstrating you haven't the foggiest idea of what you're talking about. You even said Emperor Ing is the final boss of Prime 2, when it is CLEARLY Dark Samus. Educate yourselves! You want to hire an actual gamer for these segments? I can give you my rates.
The SCARIEST boss that gave me nightmares is the spider boss in Metroid Fusion. A spider that breathes fire and jumps around without its legs at a high speed jstad spits guts at you. Total nightmare fuel.

Leaders: Metroid Prime, Emperor Ing, Parasite Queen, Mother Brain
Parasite Queen wasn't a leader, it was a science project.
@@sluttyMapleSyrup My bad, but why is she called Queen then?
@@insanemakaioshin She's the queen, like a queen ant, of a species of bug the Space Pirates were experimenting with on Frigate Orpheon. That's why she's fought in the power core; they escaped, infested the ship, and broke the ship's various systems. That's the distress signal Samus intercepts.
Sa-x should’ve been in the top 3
SA-X may be scary as a boss, but as a obstacle, it loses its scariness. TAS bots utterly humiliate it. Not to mention, once you realize it is blind as a bat, it is not so scary. Number 10 for me. If we add the emmi, they are number 10 kicking out the sax. The SAX can only kill you in one shot early game. In dread , the emmi can instantly kill you and you may freeze up after getting caught if you can't keep cool. Phantoon is a scary boss because you truly don't know what he is. He is also quite strong.
I hope they HD Remaster Metroid Prime 2 Echoes someday, I can only imagine how much creepier Emperor Ing will look like.
S-ax deserves to babe way higher… the footsteps… those godamn footsteps
SA-X and Core-X are both Absolutely Terrifying and Scary from Metroid Fusion from my Childhood Years!
SA-X being number 9 is a crime, that thing should be in the top 5 at least
OMG' No! 5:45
I guess they forgot about Dregon he was one of the hardest boss in super Metroid.
What? You're not serious right?
The easiest 😭
i was thinking gandrayda just because she turns into you and begs for her life while being finished off by the corruption.
Why does Kraid looks so weird in the thumbnail?
Literally Metroid Prime with phazon versions of Samus's attack and a lust for destruction: Honorable Mentions
A big worm with spikes that can just appear randomly: gets a place on the list.
I think mother brain and SAX should’ve been in top two instead, otherwise the list is mostly great.
FUN FACT:the charge beam beast or king worm or..... I forgot the 3rd name is the first boss of metroid zero mission aka metroid 1 remake and if it isn't killed upon first encounter you will encounter it somewhere else
Just wanna say, the green emmi was the scariest one to me in my first dread playthrough
Dark Samus being only Honorable Mention is just wrong
Dark Samus always scares me. even in my dreams. well sometimes
Sa-x is more scary due to chase and being helpless as none of your weapons can damage it but imo metriod prime is truly terrifying
The charge beam creature is actually named the Deorem.
If you want to go on scary looks alone, Nightmare is scarier than Ridley.
Name me 10 metroid bosses that aren't scary. Now that's a wayyyy harder challange =:
Charge Beam beast looks like the Red Falcon from Contra 3.
The SCARIEST boss that gave me nightmares is the spider boss in Metroid Fusion. A spider that breathes fire and jumps around without its legs at a high speed jstad spits guts at you. Total nightmare fuel.
Metroid! I love metroid.!!!
The current scariest is the fucking EMMI for chasing you 24/7
The SA-X gave me PTSD.
Spider bosses?
They might have been scary in ‘93, ever since then they have been way over done
What about Imago from Zero Mission?
Charge Beam Beast kinda reminds me of a certain boss from the Zelda games…
if you just waited for dread Raven beak would easily top this list.
Kinda goofy how the thumbnail is a boss that technically doesn’t exist no?
The emmi. It's definitely the emmi
Mother brain form 2 and SA-X give me a scared
