I bought a bunch of clothes through Temu for traveling overseas, because they were all Lycra-based, eminently packable, easy to wash in my hotel room and hang to dry. I wasn't paying attention to what I was buying and returning, and I now have an $86 credit with Temu, and I can literally find nothing else I want to buy from them right now.
You might be able to use the little circle sticky dots just cut them into strips. I’ve used them before on things that have been up for like a year now. Also depends on the quality I believe I got mine from Amazon for like $4 or something

I got the black metal candle holders to make end tables for my diorama. My aesthetic is a bit more quirky than your, but I also like the wood and metal look with a bit more color and plush. I got the cutting mat and art tools from Temu as well. Their wooden furniture is pretty nice. You could paint the legs on the Miniverse shelves flat black or put some different legs on it. I have so many of them I’ve used them as wall shelves in bathrooms and glued them into a stack. I’ve also used the shelves and put legs at the corners to create an open set of shelves for my books and clutter. My dioramas are a reflection of my own cluttered whimsical style.
Gluing metal to wood is easily accomplished. Use a polyurethane based glue. Use E6000 industrial strength, gorilla expoxy, gorilla construction glue, loctite super glue. Just read the packaging 😊
