14:12 I’m glad Canada is imposing this English requirement. Excluding Filipinos, frankly I get tired of going to ethnic or gas station stores and none of the clerks could help in just pointing where things are because they can’t speak a word of English. You wonder how they got to enter, live and work in Canada.
Big thanks, Ina, for getting Nikki to break down the current IS-to-PR pathway situation in Canada. Honestly, it feels like that pathway is pretty much done. You need an insanely high CRS score just to get a shot at a PR invite-if you even managed to get a PGWP in the first place. Right now, the Francophone pathway seems like a much better option for PR. I hope your channel keeps growing and you get more subscribers! I really love your format, especially how you dive straight into the topic just like your video titles say.
Weird lang, yung iba na nag student pathway - pag dating sa Canada kasama lahat and pamilya. Halimbawa, kasama ang kabiyak at tatlong anak. Pagkatapos hirap sa pag taguyod sa kanila.
This is fair enough for those who were born raise in Canada, because they themselves couldn't penetrate the Federal government jobs if they didn't have the Canada University Bachelor's Degree, Red Seal certification, Diploma program or any Certification related to the job they are applying for or wanted to get an entry level job. Canada is definitely very competitive with their workforce most especially in multi jurisdictional companies.
Problema kasi yung isang lahi diyan ayaw nilang kunin yung mga in demand long term shortage courses...
Apply as skilled worker or provincial nominee segurado Hindi kayo mahihirapan kumuha ng PR.
Being an international student po is not a shortcut, sure it gives the applicant some points to add to his profile. Dadaan pa din sa express entry, in the form of being a skilled worker or provincial nominee. Siguro po noong time nio mdali maging PR. It's so competitive at present, have you checked the last invitation rounds?
Hindi short cut ang pagiging international student. If anything, longcut pa nga sya. 😂 If skilled naman madali kamo, eh di lahat na nag apply as skilled. Lol
@@domdidomdidomdidom I am a skilled worker applicant before. It took me almost 10yrs to get my application approved. Tama po ba ang understanding ko. Na ang IS na nkpag apply na ng study permit before NOV.1 (meron man o wala pa na rerecieve na study permit) ay hindi require mgaral any of this 5 field of study, which is STEM, agri, transportation, trade ,& health. However, we must reach the CLB score: 5 for colleges, 7 for university before applying PGWP.
If you are a FILIPNO and you are smart enough to be able to pass the tourist visa interview, Then you should be able to pass the english needed by canadain immigration. Most of the filipino tourists come from upper middle class filipino families. Brought up in private schools in our country.
Tourist interview is only question and answer. English test evaluates your ability to read, listen, speak and write with corresponding scores to pass. Cannot actually compare po. Landed family immigrant po kami way back 1997 here in Vancouver, point system pa noon, no english test yet, just interview. But to get into a course in a College or Institute, we have to pass an English test po. Just sharing po.
The problem with these YT discussions is the focus not on the studies but on the PGWP and later, PR. If you're coming here to study, then study. Canada should end the PGWP program.
The reality is nobody is coming to Canada just to study. Canada is not really known as a destination to get good/quality foreign education like the US or the UK. Most if not all, are interested in the opportunity to gain permanent residency after graduation. Yes, government could have eliminated PGWP completely if they want to curb immigration, but they didn’t, because of the $$$ brought in by international students.
Lol. Then nobody as in NOBODY will ever study in Canada. PGWP is the only reason why Canada has lots of international students.Taking away PGWP is like shooting yourself in the foot.
