You can use paint strainer bags as well from home Depot and or Lowes. They work great and are reusable.
The air pumps and stones are generally cheaper at pet stores that sell fish tank equipment.

Excellent tea recipe - really appreciate you sharing it. I don't know about you, but I had significant "leakage" of the 4 dry ingredients through the cheesecloth while preparing it with string. So I thought "this cheesecloth bundle is essentially a teabag - but a poor one. We need something more elegant". I found it! - large paper teabags with drawstrings - 400 for $17 - you can get large 4" x 4" bags (Amazon of course). They solve the dry ingredients leaking from cheesecloth problem for me. Thanks for your channel.

also take some water and heat it up. mix the molasses with the warm water, it seriously helps distribute it faster. then again im dealing with like a giant 50 gallon container. but it just helps... when i dont use the hot water method, i find theres always streaks of the molasses on the sides.

This is what i use on a smaller scale and find it similar to your recipe. I use a plastic gallon water jug, fill it 3/4 of the way up and add the following.
    1 tablespoon blackstrap molasses
1/4 cup of raw worm castings
1/4 cup happy frog dry bud and bloom
1/2 a packet of dry yeast
The happy frog has alot of the amendments you suggest adding. Top if off with water and let it sit for 24-48 hours. Its a stinky brew but my ladies LOOOOOOVE it.

bro, thats all i do is tea, i put the amendments in the soil at the beginning and tea the rest of the way, now when i move into flowering stage, i do change the tea recipe. basically, two stages of tea brewing. one for veg and one for flowering. 3rd gen grower. grandmother hurt her back in the 50s, didn't want to take opioids even back then, so grandma started growing her own cannabis. dad started growing in the 60s, me the 80s. i still use my grandmother tea recipe with a couple of tweaks, we have learned a lot about growing Cannabis since the 50s and 60s. but i think simple is best for growing smelly ass weed. just my opinion. first time trying Gaia amendments, been hearing the rav, so ima see for myself. thank u for all ur time sir

I google’d alfalfa meal & what it does. According to sohum soils website, “As a soil amendment, alfalfa meal works with and improves the balance of sugars, starches and proteins in soil, improving nutrient transfer and energizing the activity of beneficial soil bacteria. This not only improves growing conditions, but leads to more flavorful and aromatic crops.” Hope this helps.

Those 4 banger air units are pretty good and is quite quiet compared to others. I was into fish tanks for a while and having a loud air pump in the living room is a no go. Also with 4 air lines gives u options. Put some little valves on each one and u can control the bubbles or turn off a couple if needed. GL

Hey, alfalfa meal will not bring N into the soil like the plant would, this happens in the roots. It's used like Kelp, Alfalfa is one of the fast-growing land plants and the hormone that causes it to be fast growing can be absorbed into the cannabis plant, so can increase growth, so far, I only have used in Veg when vertical growth is most important.

Use the molasses separate from your tea and regular waterings the sugars will build the bacteria more than the fungal dominant properties your after fungal dominant teas, the last 2 or week and a half weeks I'd add the molasses or sugars to help feed the microbes since they wil be dying back from the roots promoting exodates for them to feed on but if you wake them back up they will feed on the carbs to break the rest of your organic mater and help feed the root hairs

Just add the dry amendments and water. Or ferment the tea bokashi style.

So newb here.. so if I grow 2 plants this 5 gallon bucket won't get used up right away.. so what's a guy to do? Leave the air stones going? Or air stone the tea a little bit before watering? Seems like a great watering tea for the entire grow.. subscribed some time ago and enjoy all your educational videos.. might sound like a dumb question but not dumb if new to the scene I guess!

Smaller batches, you have to use it before stopping aeration unless you're going to ferment it to avoid anaerobic bacteria.

Bokashi and knr are good techniques to utilize for making teas. Any info on those? I know bokashi earth works sells some products with humates and calcium silicate in them. A deeper dive is needed into how these work. Also sprouted seed teas for enzymes .
