It has been announced this building is being torn down in the near future. :( Wish there was something that could be done to prevent that from happening!
Both my folks were born in raised in Sherman. My grandfather in Tom Bean. This home has been the subject of many tall tales and ghost stories. Thank you for covering this.
I went through a (very limited) tour of this place a few years ago and it was amazing. I only wish that it could be restored and reused, perhaps for it's original intent. It seems so sad that such a strong old structure would go unused, especially when we have so many homeless people. Maybe it could be another "samaritan inn" like they have in McKinney.... they get funding somewhere. Just a thought.
I came across this video but I'm not a cemetery and there is a lot of woodman circle memorial here in Lockhart Texas I'm just trying to find some information
Watching this documentary and I can’t help but get angry with the host. Sir, you are being very disrespectful to the property and the owners by kicking, breaking, and just the toughness of how you are handling things here. It may be an unrestored building, but that is history that you are destroying. You can even see the irritation of the owner as he watches you destroy his property.
Just found your channel and love the history being told and the old building. I love everything old.
Thank You
