Rebecca Budig wanted AMC to end with a Leo/Greenlee reunion. She said she had the kind of rapport and chemistry with Josh Duhamel that she's never had with anyone else. I agree!
Even after all these years......the chemistry between Rebecca and Josh is still there and Greenlee and Leo are still absolute FIRE on screen together! They are a true soap supercouple! Rylee doesnt touch what GreenLeo was!
They actually got Josh to come back and made his return a dream... freaking criminal! The dream was fantastic, but he should have been alive and they should have gone off into the sunset together. There is no other legitimate ending for the character.
I seriously couldn't watch this without getting teary eyed. It is just pure magic when these two are together. I have watched GreenLeo from the beginning and IMO, AMC has not been the same since Leo/JD left. It was so nice to see him return even if it was for a short time. But also sad to see it was a dream. I hope we see Leo once more before AMC's finale. I am hoping GreenLeo will get their happily ever after in the end.

Yeah, that's exactly what I meant: if Leo were really alive, it would've HAD to end up with GreenLeo together. However, the writers needed Rylee to be together for the proposed online show (because Josh would never come back long-term at this point in his career), so they made it a dream instead as there's no other way to explain Greenlee with Ryan except Leo being dead. It was an unfair ending for GreenLeo and us. :(
I’ve just finished a rewatch of their story and still love them as much as when it originally aired. I still can’t believe they got Josh back, and they wasted it by making this a dream. Don’t get me wrong, I loved seeing them onscreen together again, but the writers really got it wrong. When you have a couple this loved years after being onscreen together, and you have the actors that portray them also pushing for L&G ending, you give them what they want. I’ll never understand why they wasted this perfect opportunity.

I really don't know why everyone was so surprised by this. They made such a big deal about his coming back but at the very end of the series. Of course it was a dream. I loved Greenlee and Leo. I'm always happy to see them together, but I also love Ryan and Greenlee. It's true IF Leo had been alive he would have fought for Greens, but with it being just a dream it makes sense that he would tell her he's happy that she's happy with someone else. They finally gave Greenlee closure and I really think she needed that.
Poor Greens! First she woke up from the most amazing dream. And then just when she thinks that it might just come true once she gets up from the floor, she gets disappointed with Kendall's love and not her own. She should've just stayed on the floor and in that dream!
I can't believe they choose to make this a dream instead of real! And PP cancelled AMC the first go around and now that it's revived, Greenlee and Ryan are no longer in Pine Valley. I don't think they've even mentioned them! So we could have had our Greenleo happy ending! The only thing that I didn't like about this reunion (dream or not) is they didn't even MENTION Happy, Greenlee's dog that Leo got for her. They were the perfect family.
I hoped with all my might for it to be real but this was the greatest closure a fan could have ever wanted. I just didn't want their story to be over. L&G were grand.
I would have GLADLY taken Greenlee M.I.A. from the revival if they would have made this real and given them their happy ending in Paris! Greenlee could have gotten Happy back from her grandparents house and Happy, Greenlee, and Leo move to Paris leaving Pine Valley forever, happily ever after! They deserved it and so do we!

So there is a small chance that he might still be alive! Perhaps, he will see her and decide not to reveal that he is alive since he might think she already moved on?
IMO, it had to be a dream because (at the air date of this epi) AMC was going to be continued online. I'm sure TPTB were hoping to sign Rebecca Budig and Cameron Mathison, but no way would they be able to get Josh Duhamel. Once they saw the chemistry that GreenLeo still had, producers would have known it would be impossible to air the rumored scenes taped with Leo coming back alive, because nobody in their right mind would believe that Greenlee would EVER choose Ryan (or anyone else) over him.

I'll never forgive this show for making it practically revolve around Zach, including ruining this otherwise perfect scene with chemistry that was unmatched with Leo and Greenlee.
I didn't really watch during this time, so was David like bringing people back from the dead or something, is that why Greenlee thought Leo was alive? Anyway, I remember being so excited for Josh's return as Leo. I LOVED Leo and Greenlee so much and to this day they are still my favorite couple in TV history. I have never seen a couple with so much chemistry, like seriously it is off the charts. Those 3 years they were together were so special and I rewatch those scenes all the time, it is my fav thing to watch. Their looks, personalities, acting, love, they were magic together ❤️❤️❤️ To me he never died, David saved him from the water after he fell and then Greenlee and him moved to Paris and their final scene was Greenlee's fantasy of them in Paris being happy in Nov. 2002. This scene in 2011 was sweet but not real because he never died to me. That was too cruel an ending for this amazing couple. They went through so much to be together for it to end with him dying the night they were supposed to move to Paris. That is the beauty of TV I can think whatever I want. Writers can make bad decisions and be stupid. Just because Josh wanted to get off doesn't mean I have to accept that his character died. Then because of stupid PP this had to be a dream, Rebecca and Josh weren't even going to the online show, so this could have been real. I didn't want them to loose 9 years together that is why to me he never died in the first place, that is too sad and would bring down their wonderful story and romance. The ending should have been like this Vanessa is still alive and has always had control on David which is why he hated her when Leo and her went over the cliff they went to South America where David had his secret lab ging on and Vanessa resumed her life as the drug lord Proteus while Leo suffers from amnesia.That would have been hot for David and Vanessa to have been working as a team all along since Leo died to keep him and Greenlee apart. I can write some scenes out!!!!

I enjoy it very much, especially since I love Josh Duhamel and like I said, I know Rebecca from GL. Also very fun to see Marj Dusay & Vincent Irizarry as his mother & half-brother who I also know from GL :) In Iceland they only air GL & B&B which I love, but sometimes I wish they also aired AMC and all the other soaps.

The thing that bugged me about this clip was the medalion. I have gone back and watched older clips of all the characters I like. Greenlee gave that medallion to Bianca when they thought Miranda had died. They were at the crash site and she told Bianca it was Leo's and gave it to her. So, she hasn't had it all this time. I have to say I'm a Rylee fan, but I still loved this clip. They did have amazing chemistry. I think Rylee does, too but that's just my opinion.

I never liked ryan so I was so happy when I saw this but then they took it away
I loved greenlee and ryan. But......leo and her were so beautiful together....tear tear.He loved her so much and understood her. And ryan doesn't accept her as much as he did. It isnt as passioante. well.....oh well......... rylee it is.

omg i can't believe it was a dream but in a way i'm kind of glad it was a dream cuz when i saw the promo i was excited that leo was coming back bcuz him n greens were so good together n i truely believe that he is her soulmate but then he died n rylee was born n i luv them too, but i've always thought rylee was each others soulmate by default cuz their true loves died, but either way i love them together so if leo was really back it wud have been a tough one *sigh*
Josh Duhamel should be in all soap opera's and then none of them would be in trouble.

The ending should have been like this Vanessa is still alive and has always had control on David which is why he hated her when Leo and her went over the cliff they went to South America where David had his secret lab ging on and Vanessa resumed her life as the drug lord Proteus while Leo suffers from amnesia.That would have been hot for David and Vanessa to have been working as a team all along since Leo died to keep him and Greenlee apart. I can write some scenes out!!!!
@Avalon247 I was supposed to be!! There was another scene that Josh taped that was to be part of the "flash forward" finale that was taped before Prospect Park asked for a cliffhanger ending.

Leo is wearing a suit in one of the AMC promo shots, so he must be on one more day...probably to watch her from a distance before he leaves town.

@GoodWillTalking I thought the same thing or Leo watching Ryan save Greenlee. Whatever it is he looked mad and/or disappointed. I'm gonna keep watching to find out what is going on.

@Liligal1 Yeah someone gave me a link to where I can watch loads of videos of them, from the beginning. I enjoy it very much, especially since I love Josh Duhamel and like I said, I know Rebecca from GL. Also very fun to see Marj Dusay & Vincent Irizarry as his mother & half-brother who I also know from GL :) In Iceland they only air GL & B&B which I love, but sometimes I wish they also aired AMC and all the other soaps.
So Im guessing Gillian is a dream as well???

question when its time for greenlee and ryan to go to heaven who is greenlee going to be with leo or ryan :) and once in heaven will ryan get back with his princess that died gillan . thats why i hope when i really fall in love i hope i dont lose him cause when u do and u move on with another guy then u both go ti heaven u have to choose between both guys but if heaven isnt real am worrying for nothing ^-^ still pissed this was a dream
I don't think it really matters but Leo is Greenlee's soulmate according to everyone involved, so I guess your answer is Leo.

The thing that bugged me about this clip was the medalion. I have gone back and watched older clips of all the characters I like. Greenlee gave that medallion to Bianca when they thought Miranda had died. They were at the crash site and she told Bianca it was Leo's and gave it to her. So, she hasn't had it all this time.
I have to say I'm a Rylee fan, but I still loved this clip. They did have amazing chemistry. I think Rylee does, too but that's just my opinion.
