How we can define Alkenes?
Alkenes are a class of hydrocarbons (e.g., containing only carbon and hydrogen) unsaturated compounds with at least one carbon-to-carbon double bond. Alkenes are called olefins (a Latin word meaning oil forming) because first members form oily products when react with halogens.
