I had the privilege of hosting The Singing Lesters in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio in the early 90's. I still weep when I hear them sing this song. As far as I am concerned, there is no group who does it better. Brian is a pro and a delight to work with.
Im so glad Jesus didnt throw this clay away. Jesus has saved me from death, hell, and the grave many times. I will never be able to praise him enough. Im so glad i will have eternity to praise my lord , savior, and king.
Oh LORD, what a blessing! This is praise! This is worship! This is glorifying and praising God in song! This is thanking Him for His forgiveness! Hallelujah! Thank you for posting. The words of the song will be written in my prayer journal.
Empty and broken, I came back to Him A vessel unworthy, so scarred with sin. But He did not despair...He started over again And I bless the day, He didn't throw the clay away. Over and over, He molds me and makes me, Into His likeness, He fashions the clay. A vessel of honor, I am today, All because Jesus didn't throw the clay away. He is the Potter...I am the clay And molded in His image, He wants me to stay. Oh, but when I stumble... When I fall... When my vessel breaks, He just picks up those pieces, He does not throw the clay away... Over and over, He molds me and makes me, Into His likeness, He fashions the clay. A vessel of honor, I am today, All because Jesus didn't throw the clay away. A vessel of honor, I am today, All because Jesus didn't throw the clay away.
Brian's grandparents began at a little country church, Dry Bayou, in the Missouri Bootheel in the early 20th century. Brian is the third generation of the Singing Lester family. The family continued to travel back to Dr. Bayou every year to sing in the homecoming services, even after they became well-known in the industry, and were scheduled fully elsewhere.
Brian and Ginger are sister and brother. Both were part of the pioneering gospel group from St. Louis, Missouri. Please play some of their earlier programs which featured Brian and Gingers' Children.
Jeremiah 18:4 But the pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as seemed best to him. Praise God!
ask, peter if you cant fall or make a mistake and be restored,or king david who was a man after Gods own heart.the old testament was written that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. But its not a liscenes to sin.the bible says though he were a son he learned obedience by the things he sufferd.
