- Day in the Life of Lincoln ❤️ Special Needs Parenting // Today we are taking you inside a day in the life of our son Lincoln. He is such a light of joy to everyone who meets him and we are so incredibly proud of him. Parenting children with special needs is rewarding, challenging, beautiful, and messy all at the same time. Lincoln has a rare brain disease called MoyaMoya that lead to several strokes when he was a baby, giving him Left-sided Hemiplegic Cerebral Palsy with significant developmental delays. His doctors when we adopted him from China 6 years ago said he would never walk or talk, and here he is shattering all of that one miracle at a time. It's a busy life for him - from special needs class at school to hours of physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy each week. Add in 4 brain surgeries over the past 6 weeks (the most recent to put in a shunt to drain his brain after being diagnosed with hydrocephalus) and he has had to have a lot of extra care to help recover and continue to progress. We are so grateful for our sweet boy and so proud of how far he has come and how far we know he will go! And we are so grateful for all of your support to cheer him on over these past 5 years!

Lincoln is growing so beautifully. He's a big boy now. It's wonderful seeing these children grow and it's the love and attention that really makes the difference. We can see it on the smile on their faces, even if sometimes for sure they will have their lows they will conquer with a smile on their faces and appreciating the joy of life as you have shown them in your daily life. He has the most wonderful personality considering all the challenges he faced recently! But he has the best mom and dad to help him through it all. And his siblings. I am glad his school has been wonderful about adapting his school day to include therapies, we are just blessed he can be with us still.
Oh, my goodness Linky looks resplendent in his prince costume. I think he just has the face for royalty. Ethan’s costume is such a cute idea and looks great too. I think Lincoln has a very special way of communicating love, happiness and no doubt at times, displeasure, and that is very special. Even on screen he radiates love. With everything he has to contend with it is amazing that he remains so bright and cheerful. Knowing you’re loved is everything.

Your videos sharing your family life are always such a beautiful reminder that it is the "little things" that are really so big: sitting together on the couch with the dog and watching a cartoon, having a nice breakfast meal together while listening to worship music, the daily structure and routines that bring stability in a chaotic world. Raising a special needs child is very rewarding for both the child and you. I raised 2 special needs children. The ups and downs of raising them strengthened both my boys as well as me.

Thank you Amanda and Stephen for your prayers i Am sorry for missing the Live Streaming Lincoln episode just now watching the show i have family coming for Thanksgiving giving my house a good trhough and through cleaning and cleaning out cabinets and bathrooms As My Mom has illnesses i am doing all the work but not over whelm i so have 100% of respect for women who clean their home i am still sore from cleaning the Kitchen cabinets taken all of it down putting it back up properly sighs but i actually enjoy it see you all on your next new video have a great Wednesday @@themillerfam

I am so impressed at how much Lincoln has improved since the operation. It looks like he is almost back toward what he was before the operation. I have to say how impressed I am with Ethan and his love towards his little brother. You and Stephen are such wonderful parents and I love how much you have tought your children to be such loving and giving people.
