A good day for the bike ride and great footage aswell Paul looks like a decent path up think i will be doing this one over the winter months , looking forward to getting back out been about 4 weeks now fingers crossed the weather is kind next weekend. ATB Ally👍
Cheers Ally! Yeah probably one of the most straightforward Munros you will do! A long walk in but the cycling made it easy. Would be nice in the winter. Cheers mate! Paul
It was Tam! It was obviously quicker but there was a lot of pushing and panting involved! Not easy as my bike’s heavy but still great fun!!! Cheers mate! Paul
Cheers Alan! I haven’t narrowed it dow and was just going to see were the journey takes me! As I get closer to the end I will decide I think! I will hatch a plan nearer the time and keep everyone up to speed so absolutely no problem 😉! Paul
Brilliant! bet that was a lot of filming/stopping time just to get all those great and varied shots...to squeeze into a wee 4 n a half minute Munro! On my bucket list a Bike Munro 🚵♀👍👍
Yeah I did do a few extra kms I think Dave! Very quick though and great fun! Highly recommend this for the bike! Some pushing but mostly on the bike 👍👍👍
Hi Dunk it took 3 and a half hours mate! Nae hinging about! Used the power modes on the uphill section a lot 🥴🥴🥴 but that’s what it’s for 😂😂great fun 👍 cheers mate. Paul
That was interesting Paul. I do have an e-MTB and wondered how practical it might be to try something like this. It certainly looked like it worked really well and you were up and down in no time. How well did the battery fair? I guess it really only has to get you to the top. Any thoughts on which other Munro’s may be possible this way? Yes you have me thinking so thanks very much for sharing.
Cheers Chas! this was really straightforward and others like Glas Tulaichean and the Glas Maol munros spring to mind as being doable on a bike. Probably Meal Ghoardie at killing too? depends I guess on your bike skills? mines are really basic.....The battery faired well I came back after 30km with two bars out of 5 left. tried to used the old legs as much as possible and use the battery for the steeper, boggier sections! worked a treat. already planning another bike adventure! Cheers mate! Paul.
Thanks Paul. Certainly food for thought. You made it look easy but I guess there were sections that were tricky to ride. Thanks for the suggestions. Interesting to try an alternative way and quite a good time saver too especially for long easyish trails.
Nice one Paul, what a fantastic glen for cycling into eh ? If i remember there was 2 Munros to get from the old lodge. You gonna have to go back or have you done the other one ?
An amazing wee glen Stevie! Even just for a walk along to the ruins! Yeah I did the other one as a group of three from Spittal of Glenshee so had just this one left! Going to try and copy your boat over to Sgurr mor this weekend 😎😎 wish us luck! 👍👍👍
Nice wee video Paulo, E bike is cheating tho, You'll need tae go back. 😉 Nice wee Glen and Hill that. Did it on a circuit coming over a hill called "The Top of the Battery." Whit a name eh 😉
Controversial 😂😂😂 I think it’s harder taking the bike up than walking 😆😆🚴🚴🚴🚴. A cracking glen that and fabulous just for a wee wander! I will be bhac on my second round 😎😎😎😂😂😂
Well done, that's a different way to do it! When doing the NH48, bikes aren't allowed. Most of the trails would be crazy to to ride up anyway but they're forbidden on most of the White Mountain trails so it's moot. Good on you for taking advantage of the terrain!
Cheers Seth! Yeah its a novel way but not unusual in the cairngorms... I often see bikes on the high plateau...something a wee bit different! Thanks again mate! Paul.
Nice one Paul!! - I was looking at this route on the maps just last week!!! great to get a preview of what might lie ahead!! great video as always - ATB Tom
Thanks Tom! What a beautiful glen that is! I’m sure you will breeze that Munro! For me it was hard going but that’s my inexperience!! Cheers again! Paul
Cheers Keith! A great fun day out and a cracking spot! Was talking to Frank this week and I think their day was pretty epic and if he could have filmed more he would have! A cracking wee watch great to hear Frank telling the story 😂😂!! Thanks again mate! Paul
I absolutely enjoy watching you and Franks adventures. Humorous and well presented. It’s going to be a happy but sad day when you both reach 282. I’ll miss these uploads. Today I’m down at Ben Lomond to cheering a friend on for her last Munro. What an achievement.
@beanser1 brilliant Keith! Looks like it will be windy but clear on the Ben! Have a cracking day! Hopefully keep the videos going after the Munros! Got another journey I want to do after them! Another wee challenge to keep me out of bother! 👍
@@PAADVENTURES1 Aye ive only been out 3 times this year , been busy fishing plus i have another pup. Im away offshore on Monday once i come back i'll need to get my munro round back on track, i was looking at my list i think i have done 14 new munros in the last 3 years . Ive repeated a lot though , just taking the dogs round a few . So i'll need to get my finger out and get ticking them off again ..Been sitting on 200 since i done fisherfield .
@ootnboots145 is that 3 dogs now Stevie! That’s not easy 🥴🥴my wee paddy is enough for me!! Being offshore I guess doesn’t make hill walking easy either! Hopefully you’ll get that number up in the coming months 👍👍👍👍
