Hi you guys! What a great video this is and how beautiful is that animal rescue centre! I'll make sure to check out the ads once you dedicate a video for helping them out. It is very generous of you guys to do this, much respect!!! Cheers Bert 🙏🏻❤
Great video, thank you for sharing your experience with the puppies, it goes a long way in helping their journeys. A great way of using your platform for a truly huge need in most countries. My heart melts seeing such beautiful animals getting some help and hopefully a second chance.❤
Thanks so much! It's just sad to see so many dogs ready to give love to whoever takes a chance on them, we hope to make a difference no matter how big or small :)
I can't tell you how much it means for what you have done for those two sweet innocent souls. I will never understand how anyone could take three helpless animals and dump them at the side of the road to die. Thank you so very much for helping Patricia and her rescue. Each and every little face you featured just tears at my heart. If people could treat each other the say way you both treated those two little pups, we would never have another war. Thank you a trillion times over for your work in helping all of these sweet souls.
Thanks so much! I know, some people have no heart. We can all learn a lot from the love dogs give, thank goodness for organisations like the adopta but overall we hope to change the way dogs are treated in the first place before they get to the point of being abandoned
Ahh what a lovely thing to do support this animal charity 🥰 sadly a lot of countries rely solely on the big hearts of people to set up animal shelters. I support many as often as I can . My son rescued a big dog when they were in Portugal last year and paid for it to be bought to uk . It’s taken a lot of love and patience to get him used to living a normal life 😍 you both are awesome kind people to be helping support xx
Thanks so much 😊 and yes you're right, always relying on those who are kind enough to support. Oh wow, that's dedication but once you introduce a dog to the family, they are part of it as if they were a child :)
Hi 👋😀 What a lovely video and cause. I will definitely watch the ads for you as unfortunately not much else I can do. We have a Staffordshire Blue Terrier that we got as a rescue dog when she was two and a half. Her owner had been a soldier and was sadly killed on active duty his widows circumstances meant she just could not keep her. We initially were just fostering her but she became a foster fail and here we are 6 years later 😂 A lot has changed since we got her main thing me now being in a wheelchair so I would not have another dog it would not be fair to the dog. Thank you for caring and thank you for doing this for them xx
EDITED: We figured it out and have donated today by way of Paypal. I do pray they get many more donations. Every dog needs a loving home. Do you know if there is a way to translate the 'Wish List' for Patricia's Rescue? We'd like to purchase a few items in addition to the monetary donation. Thank you again for helping those sweet pups. Hugs, Lacy, Mike & Hamish🐾
Aw thank you so much, really kind of you to make a donation :) It will go a long way. If you view amazon using a web browser, there should be the option to translate it, not sure how else to, sorry :) Again, very kind of you, thanks so much💚
I cannot believe how many cuttings you have great job I wish I had more space to plant my whole backyard is field with trees and vegetables flowers I see how much you two enjoy being out doors 👏🏼👏🏼
I am interested in the swales and how they work for you. When your trees get a few years of growth their shade should keep the land cooler and provide nourishment for the land. When the fruit trees produce fruit you will be super busy picking fruit.
So far so good :) it'll be interesting to see how they do over time and when the project really takes off - huge amounts of shade, biomass and harvests :)
If you guys get a lot of fog certain times of year. You should set up fog nets and a water collection system. Beats hauling water in. And you could direct it to water all of your trees.
I'm no irrigation expert but I reckon that you are going to need to cover those pipes because in the summer they are going to get mega hot the water is going to come out boiling and will start evaporating before it has a chance to soak into the ground .
Oh, I thought you'd got these puppies to keep. Some people are so cruel to just let them die like that. I'm getting my bitch spayed, so there won't be any 'accidents' with her. We had kittens abandoned on our yard in the same way. It was only a little cave in the bottom of the muck heap giving them warmth through the night that stopped them freezing to death. We still lost one to cat flu, but managed to save one. Our local RSPCA is always choc full too. I look forward to seeing the other featured videos with them.
It would have been lovely to keep them but 4 dogs is too much for us right now! Thankfully they've been adopted though! Shame some people are so cruel :( good thing animals are given a second chance by people like yourself :)
Moringa trees are fast growing and make good chop and drop matter. I am a vet nurse and can send some supplies to the dog rescue. I'm from California and there is so much waste here . Please send me a address or P.O. Box to send it to. Thank you for helping to dogs. My best friend has a cat rescue with 200 cats she pays for by herself. Our resourse's here are very good.
Thanks for the tips on Moringa trees :) Aw that's so sweet of you to offer - do you mind dropping us a note on instagram if possible please? instagram.com/rootsdownhomestead/ Aw what a lovely person your friend must be
Hi Mark. I am very disappointed. 😢 You took cuttings of a tree in bloom. This is the worst time to cut cuttings. You probably have to learn on your own without help. Good luck to you later.
@@rootsdownhomestead I don’t think so. The negative impact of dogs on the environment is so immense and the pet food industry so huge (millions of animals are being killed every year for that purpose), for a nature lover there simply is no way to justify having a dog. Or a cat, for that matter. But hey, I really love your channel, keep up the good work!
Just so you know, almond trees will require a boat-load of water, once they are in their permanent place(s). I just about had a heart-attack ❤🩹when you started to prune that blooming peach tree. There's a time and a season to prune fruiting trees, especially if you want fruit every year without fail.
Ah really? During my research I found them to be drought tolerant, so assumed they might not need to much! yeah the peach tree bloomed before i could prune it but we did it super hard so i just took off a few branches which crossed over so i could use them for cuttings :)

Will make sure to let all the ads play all the way through! Wonderful what Patricia does and it's good of you to help her out!
Thanks so much Reet :)
The puppies are beautiful, what a kind job you’re doing, hope someone gives them a home. Great video, well done ❤
Thanks so much 😊 the puppies got adopted now :)
For the love of dogs ❣️ 🐶 there are some wonderful people in this sometimes harsh world.
Thanks so much 😊 the world would be a better place with more Patricia's!

Those weeds are good for rabbits and chickens. 😀
Better get some then... ;)

The cutest :)
Sounded at first like you were going to keep the pups. Awe, go on now….
We wish we could but we have our two dogs
The puppies actually got adopted now so we're so happy about it!
Great Video, thank you for sharing. ❤️🐕❤️🦮❤ xx
Glad you enjoyed it :) Thanks so much!
Thanks guys

why don't you keep them?
I should imagine they couldn't keep them because they already have two dogs
Whilst we'd love to, we already have two dogs :)
Yep exactly :)
@@rootsdownhomestead and they got along perfectly well! so, not really a reason not to ;-)

Yeah it's a good point, we already have completed a plan around that, will be in an upand coming video! :)
Where is this located in the Alentejo?
The adopta is in Arronches
Stake the new trees. There are two small and young not to stake
Thanks for the tip! :)

That’s not the right time to prune peach trees.
Work work work how about a little vaca
Haha yeah tell me about it ;) we love it here anyway
Hi Mark. I am very disappointed. 😢 You took cuttings of a tree in bloom. This is the worst time to cut cuttings. You probably have to learn on your own without help. Good luck to you later.
yeah i thought it might have been a bad time, i left it too long before taking some of the crossing over branches off, will know for next time now :)
You're not animal lovers, you're DOG lovers. Animal lovers love nature, and dogs and nature don't go together.
I see your point, you can be both. After all, humans domesticated dogs and took them from nature, so perhaps we need to accept some part in that
