Fab video. These two are fast becoming my nemeses! First try at Stuchd an Lochain with a friend well into Spring and we had to turn back because it got too snowy and we weren't kitted out for winter, second last summer turned out to be on the hottest day of the year and I got really dehydrated and almost gave up- managed to revive myself with a massive drink and summit Stuchd an Lochain but didn't want to chance the second hill when I felt ropey so I'm going to have to go back again! I've done so many harder munros but these wee ones are damned indeed for me!
Remember sometime in the 90s walking up here and hearing jets, and naturally you look up, but nope there were 2 Tornado's flying along the loch at low level. :)
You capture some wonderful views as you take us on your walk. There are so many wonderful peaks in the Highlands and I would love to be fit enough to do more. Digital photography is making memories and experiences so much easier to keep that the old colour slides of my day.
I love these two - the views from Meall Bhuide are magical. Nice to see them with snow too. I'm glad you demonstrated the crampons as there have been so many tragedies this year. Many people underestimate the danger of snow patches on high ridges. I climbed the Corbett Streap a couple of weeks ago with some friends, and there were only a few snow patches but they were steep and icy and I felt so much safer with my crampons on. I'll be taking microspikes this weekend as most of the snow has melted and I won't be going quite so high.
Yeah I was surprised with Meall Buidhe 😁 better to be safe, I seen a post of Facebook that someone has taken a slip on that exact spot and broke their ankle.. hence why we need the crampons into near enough summertime 😁 Streap looks like a fantastic Corbett so will no doubt be up there one day 😁 Thanks for watching Atb, James
Loved this video, the hills look great in spring with the cornices revealing their shape. Your videos are getting better and better: great drone shots, nice length, considered pieces to camera, informative, and I loved the zoomed in shot of the Ben
Good to see you back out James! Two good wee hills but I preferred Stuchd an Lochan? I thought the other hill was a boggy mound! I didn't get the views you got though. Looking forward to loads more this summer! Cheers Paul
Great to get back out Paul 😁 hope you have been enjoying the recent weather 😁 Your right, it was pretty boggy on the way up 😂 but was surprised by views at top! Atb, James
Thank you 😁 using new software so trying a few different things - I have to admit the last shot was the drone so I flew it back to my van when I was finished 😂 thanks for watching, Atb, James
Nice double there, Best of luck with 2022, I completed 107 last year, opened my account at the weekend with a double Ben Oss& Ben Dubhcraig, great to see all the TH-cam channels I follow start to get videos on
Thanks - best of luck to you too 😁 great effort on 107! Not done them two yet but might try them this year, I agree, feels like Munro Bagging season has opened 😂 Thanks for watching, Atb, James
Had a feeling you would prefer Meall Buidhe. Climbed the two last year and I was surprised by the views they both offered. It’s certainly a nice area James👍 Perhaps a little bit nicer with some snow😃 ATB Gaz.
Was just surprised with the views more on Meall Buidhe - great area, just a fair drive for me 😂 Great to get out again, hope you have been enjoying the recent weather Gaz 😁👍 Atb, James
I think you missed a trick James. A circular route is always more satisfying (to me) than an out and back. The circuit o the loch taking in 2 Corbetts is a great round and no more than 2 hours longer.
Totally agree Eddie, I looked at that route but I didn’t arrive until mid morning - and the prospect of a hot coffee & lighter pack (Lunch in Van) was a too tempting 😂 always next time! Atb, James
These two are still on my list so it was nice to get a look into them both and the views looked great. I've got so many still to go but onwards and upwards. Great stuff as always and I look forward to seeing more 👍🏼
I certainly have @@ScottishMunroJourney I've managed a two day hike and two Munro's recently and if I'm nice enough I might be allowed out again this week 😂 I might get Mt Keen or something like that bagged, a reportedly easier Munro.
Your vids are great pal, and you introduced me to beluga lagoon tae so thanks…..by the way on your winter ones why do you never wear any head gear as your “heed” looks freezing lol
Great hike and video. Thank you for sharing and wishing you a wonderful day. Take care
Thanks for watching 😁🙏

Great vid mate! Aye that view over Rannoch Moor to Glen Coe is quite special👍🏻
Thanks mate, it was a great view 😁
Your channel is really great and informative the information you give is brilliant

Lovely. I've done both... But not on the same day! 😅 I appreciate the effort you put into capturing your Munro adventures. Keep it up!
Thanks for watching 😁 I was very tempted to drive home after the first 😂

Thanks for uploading. Always useful seeing what the snow situation is like this time of year. Awesome videography btw! Cheers. 🏴⛰
Thanks for watching, snow is fairly disappearing with the recent weather 😁

Can't place your accent, mate... County Antrim? Ayrshire? Anyway, that view of Nevis and co at 8:15 is jaw dropping. Subscribed.
