One of my honey hole thrift stores keeps Christmas up all year on the 2nd floor. I never go up there, but now I will, just to see if some quality Christmas stockings come in 😊
Wowee, that's a lot of stockings!! I found (2) Sferra stockings over the summer. Picked them up because I've seen you sell them for good money in the past. Mine are wool with velvet backing (1) green (1) blue. I priced them at 30.00 EA. Had a bunch of watchers on the blue, not even one view on the green and neither sold. I didn't use the keywork 'Sferra" though. I know better now (thanks to you Vickie) so I'll revise the title. I don't mind holding them for another year (although still listed) because they take hardly any room to store. Thank you as always and hi to Mark!
One of my favorite things to resell! Completed or kits, they’re so easy to store and ship. Keep an eye out for Patience Brewster stockings. They don’t really look high quality, but they can sell for really good money. Enjoyed the video!

I have learned so much from you. I especially appreciate your pack and ship videos! On the first stocking in the video, you mentioned that you would purchase insurance for the package. I am wondering why as USPS Ground Advantage includes $100 of insurance.
We buy our labels on Pirate Ship and we trust that they will pay out on a claim. We do not have that same trust in USPS. They might pay out for non-delivery but not for any damage incurred. Based on experiences with each. Hope that helps explain.

We actually insure on Pirate Ship for $101.00 because for it to apply, it has to be $1 more than the USPS $100.00 insurance which in our experience is a joke. Unless an item is not delivered, it can be nearly impossible to meet the USPS demands for proof of value, etc. That's our experience and why we override it with Pirate Ship's insurance offering. Doesn't the customer need the packing slip? Maybe they ordered several items from vendors and get confused, somehow. Have you ever had a problem with not sending the packing slip? I'm asking because I would like to follow your lead. I like the idea of keeping the packing slip.
Haven't sent one for many, many years. The buyer can always print out a copy of what they paid for there own records. NEVER once asked for one....ever in nearly 20 years. Thanks Rosa!
One of my biggest questions is how do you decide what price to put on them? Aren't there such a wide variety of comps that it is hard to find even one similar?
I always sort sold comps by highest to lowest. If no sold comps, I just set a price and add make offer and see what happens. I also consider how popular/collectible something might be. Such as “Snoopy” when setting my price. Hope that helps Pamela and thanks for asking!
Vickie this is awesome! Wish I could find any. I have a quick question for you. I know tou sell lots of brass. I picked up a brass lamp recently that has some corrosion on it. Would you polish or disclose?
The stocking with Ricky embroidery on it was a crazy sale. I am not sure if I could have sold the moose stocking it was so cute. Who knew stocking were such great sellers.
