She was weak in compulsaries so even if healthy I dou t they would take her. Her backwards tumbling was horrible. Even her double Arabian here is really a double front as she twists all of off the floor.
Brilliant. That opening pass was and is legendary. Only critique is that the rest of the tumbling really was underwhelming compared to that opening. This was when a lot of that front tumbling was probably overvalued so it had too large a role in too many routines. Her last pass in particular is way too basic and the tumbling overall exposed that she was comparatively uncomfortable with backwards tumbling.
I hope the judges didn't deduct for that flying scrunchie. I always had an issue with judges taking points off for underwear showing or hair ties falling out. It is creepy. If a girl is trying her best to not show underwear (which is like everyone really) judges should not deduct, it makes no sense and is kinda creepy. Same for hair, if the gymnast has made a very good try at wearing hair neat yet it falls out like here, it should never e deducted. It's actually very sexist in my opinion. I hope judges have changed this. And don't start me with the German leotards with leggings. They were long overdue and totally understandable for menstruation, religion or personal preference.
I've never seen height like that in an Arabian double front! She was so amazing. What a fabulous entertainer, too - love the breakdancing move!
just beautiful
I remember watching this on tv in 95 and thinking "Hurry, runaway scrunchie!"... look at 2:07
Perfect gymnast physique!
Great opening pass!
didn't know Produnova had been at the 1995 worlds... very cool routine!!!
This was a great routine
@Rebeccabwfc
damn, at least we got to see her in 2000. one of my favorites during 1997-2000 years
I did not know she competed in 95. Too bad she did not get the chance to compete at the 96 Olympics.
didn't know she was in 95 worlds...what happened that she didn't make the 96 olympics?

@@admetric I just noticed that! She twisted way sooner. That's funny, since gymnasts are usually better at back tumbling.

@agators212 Injured :(
@agators212 Yeh mine too :(
The height she gets on her switch leap is ridiculous.
