When I was a kid these planes were "free flight" models with ignition gas motors and 10 second engine runs using ignition cut off timers .They flew in Marine Park Brooklyn inside the running track circle. "Quakers" ,Brooklyn Dodgers" etc.. This was 70 years ago. I remember one plane catching a thermal and drifting away towards Floyd Bennet Field.
Fine building. Beautiful model, the "Quaker"; first time I've seen one in flight. I have looked at the design over the years but never paid it much attention. Now I think I'll strip up some balsa and build one! Thank you for this.

Very well done, specially liked the glimpse of the kit contents. Loved it all, EXCEPT the music over the engine sound.
