Fun fact about the Samoa Joe/Braun cutscene, everything Joe says about Braun’s dad is true, him being called “The Crusher” him being one of the best slow pitch softball players of all time, these are all facts and not something the script writers made up for the game.
I don’t see anyone talking about how Samoa Joe is probably the only guy in the history of wwe games who is decent at voice acting. His lines sounded almost exactly like they would if he delivered them on tv. I’m impressed
@@thefive8th741 I’ve been on a wwe games binge on TH-cam recently and I totally forgot how bad the voice acting was. 99% of the guys were terrible at it
Paul Heyman did a pretty solid job in 2k17’s MyCareer mode, but then again he really doesn’t have to do much acting on that, Heyman’s always in character
Honorable mention for Jericho's title defense in his RWTM in SvR 2011, when you fight Triple H and he reverses every move you can get a result via DQ or Countout
I want to believe that the lack of storylines in WWE 2K22 MyRise compared to previous years is due to working from home staff. I hope that we would get more unique special storylines in WWE 2K23 that didn't all revolve around social media, challenge matches, etc.
@Daniel Mallory 2K22 MyRise from the start wasn't that bad. It wasn't until you got close to finishing it that you realize it doesn't have an ending and just keeps going. Others kept going but at least others had an ending.
@@TheLegacy-Gaming true but I find the my rise to be boring storylines tho I guess my affinity to try to never lose might cause abit of issues but some storylines were 1 or 2 matches and after awhile oys just doing a story so you can finally finish a brand
Truth is video games have lost a lot of passion nowadays and this is true especially for 2K. I don’t think we’ll ever get games as amazing and well thought out as SVR.
Another one is in SmackDown vs Raw Season Mode. There’s a story where if you’re the champion, Vince will walk up to you backstage and offer to help you out. If you accept, you’ll have a title match against someone with Vince as the special guest ref, and Vince will not count anything for your opponent, making it impossible for you to lose
1:58 actually this happened in real life at Backlash 2002. Undertaker screwed Triple H against Hulk Hogan for the Undisputed Championship after winning the number 1 contender match over Steve Austin.
Funny thing, I hated those kind of cutscene fixes in matches... I've gamed a long time and I got pretty damn good at Smackdown games since the first one... So when these triggered, I usually had the upper hand and it usually just left me sitting there shaking my head.
The story was great the idea that a dumbass with a Iq of 75 could be a pro wrestler and it sucked because the whole point of my career is to take control of a top contender who starts from the ground up not a joke ass clown I primarily play female career because hers was so heavily focused it pissed me off I fell in love with my characters because they were great but Tre was to retarded for my liking as I am disabled with some challenges it felt like people with mental health problems were being made fun of by his character
Actually that first example is just following what happaned in storyline at the time. If you challange the Undertaker for the title at that First Backlash whomever wins the number 1 contender match will automatically come down and help you win regardless if you're Taker or somebody challenging Taker.
i dont remember what wwe game it was, but i vividly remember your character jumping off the hell in the cell onto Vince at the end of the game as revenge for screwing him during the play through i think Vince got multiple guys to jump you so you were extremely weak for the title defense p.s. i could be misremembering the exact details but i do know you jump off the cell onto Vince for the final match
I never played any of the 2k story modes, but that 2k20 writing is atrocious. Brock Lesnar would not rescue Paul Heyman if he was about to win the world title. That’s not his character. Braun Strowman breaking up his own pin in a world title match because someone said, “Braun” on the tron is such an illogical thing to do, even in wrestling. It’s such an easy plothole to fix by moving the scene before the pin attempt.

In other words, one of the few things the writers for WWE 2K20 did right lol
OK, that's fricken sick.
I did not know anyofthat was real.

For real, a lot of the guys in the past just phoned it in, but Joe's delivery was second to none

I wish Twisted Metal felt the same.

I love how you can just hear the *disdain* in TGG's voice whenever he talks about Trey

It's certainly a lot more than previous 2k games I just hope 2k23 feels more coherent

It feels like they did way more stories for the women my rise cause I swear that one has a lot.

Graves gives some good vocal performances in cutscenes. So does Joe.

Honestly a champion revenge storyline would actually be pretty cool
Go to 6:42 to skip WWE 2K20. It's a long one.
All hail
Knowing my luck I'd still lose all these matches that are programmed to be impossible to lose :(
I actually beat santino fairly even if it was slow count
4:38 Randy Orton:- don't call me vipes 🤣🤣
I really like the 2k20 story. The graphics and actual gameplay were terrible. Just liked the story
I really enjoyed the story it was fun

Wow! The Samoa Joe cutscene is kinda how Bobby Lashley lost to Brock Lesnar at this year’s Crown Jewel PPV! 🤔
This guy is looking for any reason to say that Trey sucks 🤣
He does sucks
He isn't wrong, though.
WWE game storylines were better then actual WWE storylines
Samoa Joe with a cyborg arm in a future where Dwayne Johnson is also president is top tier writing I just wish it was in a better game.
Where’s the guy with the good voice?
You don't need to punch Vince when he's the ref you just have to beat up Santino he's weaker then you so you can destroy him.
The whole Samoa Joe interfering situation doesn't really add up to me. In WWE, weekly back to back Major Title defenses NEVERRR happen!
So who was the first guy that narrated these videos just asking
That's me. Still here. Working on some new videos right now!
@@ThisGenGaming oh ok it’s just the voice sounds different lol
In smack down vs raw 2008 I remember Vince tried everything in his power to make me lose the wwe championship and it didn’t work

I don't understand how getting DQd in RTW is a 1000 iq move... can someone explain pls?
DQs gives the opponent the win but not the title also with Vince as special ref he won’t want you to win.
I never noticed how dumb rvd fighting stance was
Cool facts
Why Randy Orton have become GM again?
The United Kingdom & an Irish man*
Northern Ireland is still part of the UK.
You sick or straining your voice?
Sharp inhales kinda annoying
I really wish this dude would chilli with his hate bones for tre
Rvd liked really crisp even in that old ass smackdown vs raw game haha
