Karen, your painting is so so beautiful! It makes me feel like I’m at the beach in the evening just as the sun has begun to set! I can almost smell the fresh ocean breeze and feel the sand beneath my feet! You inspire me Karen to put brush to paper and see what I can create. After all, I have an amazing artist and teacher to follow! Thank you for sharing your artwork and immense knowledge of art with us. With much love and gratitude… Caryn
Brilliant use of colours Karen to create this amazing effect of your seascape scene with cliffs in the distance, thanks greatly appreciated Karen for sharing your inspirational talent again
That was amazing, I really thought mine looked dreadful but once the sky had been tilted and it dried WOW! The only thing I missed out was the masking fluid ,as I did t have any, ( in fact I have never used it )but yet again you have guided me to another good painting (for me) and I am just getting better each time I follow your lead. Thank you ❤
Instead of masking fluid you can use white gouache for painting the whitecaps of the waves when the paint is dry. Alternatively you can lift of the whitecaps with a dry brush when the paint is still (not to) wet.
Thank you Karen for sharing how to use these colors to come up with such brilliant sky colors. ♥️
You are so welcome - thank you so much 😊

Gorgeous!! Where did you get that cute little butcher tray? I’m in the US
It is part of Golden’s QOR Watercolour set of six tubes.
Beautiful
Thank you so much 😊
What happened to all the yellow you put in the sky at the beginning? It can’t be seen in the picture at all.
The yellow wash dried very pale, which is what I wanted. To give a tint to the white background.
