I feel like this fight kind of metaphorically defines Barret's combat style plot-wise (lol). I don't know his entire story, but while Barret his a gun arm and his built like a brick house, he's no so much a trained fighter. Thank God the man has studied planetology enough to have the sense to use good materia.

You are the greatest FFVII Remake player of all time now. How many tries did it take you to do this?
It took a few tries for sure. Had to develop a gameplan. My biggest problem was getting enough damage on him on stage 2 to finish him in stage 3. So I played the tank role with Barret on the floating ball of death lol 😆 I usually like to do challenges people ask about in the comments. Such as yours. I'll be giving a try with Tifa and Aerith duo vs top secrets without the gotterdamerung and no materia, but I don't think it'll work. I'll give a few tries tho
@@jianuzzi Yeah, I think this one is probably the most impressive FFVII Remake challenge run that anyone will actually pull off. Tifa/Aerith with no materia against Top Secrets is probably impossible. Then again, I thought the same thing about solo ranged Barrett vs Weiss, so who knows?

@@jianuzzi you can still do melee special attacks even with the gun, right? Maybe they're quicker to execute and stagger than Focused Shot?
@@secretscarlet8249 you can use deadly dodge or another atb like smack down and charging upper cut, but they do very little to fill the pressure meter

It does suit him. I really like playing Barret's combat in both range and melee
Also I love the fact he's just like "Some Leader I am" at the end, truly goated character man.

Can you explain why the use of spirit siphon?
Ya, it does magic damage and and gives Barret health. It also works on the pressure gauge as well.
The more I look back at Remake, the more I realize that you just don’t get MP in Rebirth

There's a method to my madness, but this was the 1st time beating it with gun Barret so I could probably cut the time down a bit
