KnightInShiningWarpaint simple - pick it up again! 😊 I first learned how to play the tin whistle when I was in Dublin at the age of 11 after my parents bought me one while we were on holiday there (I'm from Australia). I learned how to play it on the tour bus that afternoon (oh, to be so young and carefree again that I could not even be self conscious of LEARNING an instrument on a bus full of random people!!!) I'm now 28 and needless to say, am much more insecure and self conscious. I'm scared people living in the apartment next to me are going to hear me and judge me 🙈 But considering I really miss music and moving my piano (which I've forgotten how to play), or playing my trumpet in an apartment because it's a bit 'loud' (and I also haven't played that for about a decade... I'd almost have to 'start over' I think) - considering all these things, I thought for now I'd just focus on re-learning the Irish tin whistle and improve my singing again (I've lost all the muscles I used to have in my diaphragm and around my mouth since I stopped music a decade ago... so will have to work hard to regain those 😩) So if I can pick up my tin whistle after so many years, so can you! The good thing is that with online shopping these days (if you need a new whistle), they are relatively inexpensive and easy to purchase online - so that's no excuse! 😉 I hope you get this comment and good luck to you if you decide to go ahead and pick up that whistle again to try and learn beautiful songs like this one! 😊
