- #AjayDevgan and #SaifAliKhan, who first worked together some 20 years ago in “Kachhe Dhaage”, and then in Vishal Bhardwaj’s incredible “Othello” adaptation “Omkara”, return on screen together in next week’s “Tanhaji”, which is based on the story of Tanaji Malusare, who was the leader of Chatrapati Shivaji’s army. CNN-News18’s #RajeevMasand spoke to both actors about their roles and about how their relationship has changed over the years. This interview first aired on CNN-News18 on January 3, 2020.

@Amey Deshpande that movie promotions haven't started yet. Kal hi trailer aaya hai uska. Aur Aisa nahi hota hai if he has committed to do promotions then he has to no matter what. Ajay purposely removed Saif from all the promotions and brought his wife because I think that would make a good pair.

Karma played It's role though, after the death of orthodox Aurangzeb the empire collapsed & how.
Nice to see the protagonist and the antagonist sit together to promote a film. Haven't seen that in other movies, to my knowledge anyway. Love both these actors and their performances. Both of them I feel are somewhat underrated for the capacity they have to portray roles with absolute conviction and in the most relatable manner.

Love this interview. This whole interview is a reflection of how these actors have grown up to be sincere and mature professionals. They spoke very well and never jabber like new comers nowadays. they gave each other time to speak and supported what other person said in a very professional manner. i am actually gonna watch the movie just because of this interview.

Saif is one of the best under-rated actors (like Akshaye Khanna) we have today.. See his variety of work and type of roles he played - Ek Haseena Thi, Dil Chahta hai, Being cyrus, Omkara, kaalakandi, even recent Laal Kaptaan - see the variety and various shades..Btw, Watch Laal Kaptaan it is a great film and he has been terrific.. (Even his avg films of his like bazaar he is good)
After this interview my respext has increased for both of them accepting and understanding

Invaders modified our great history before 1947 and the dynastic politics carried on the same agenda ever since. India wants to know, needs to know the real history.
If I assume correctly that you are referring to Congress when u say 'dynastic', why would the want to carry forward British agenda? I think you forget that Congress literally had a lion's share in our freedom struggle. If you like BJP's politics now, that's ok. But you can't deny the Congress's role in India's freedom struggle.
