i've never understood those that only tape from the middle of the blade to the tip. for a guy that's always taped the whole blade- from heel to toe- it would be such a weird feeling to try to use a stick taped like that.
I know this comment is 2 years old but! I think a lot of shooters recently started shooting off the toe of the blade, so if there’s no tape on the heel the puck will just slide right up to the toe and catch on the tape there. Good for a quick release. Also guys stick handle on the heel so with less friction there you can get some quick hands. That’s just my thoughts on it!
I remember when laine was 16 and made his debut in the finnish hockey league he was not really good then but the very next season when he was 17 he was a beast.
Patty doesn't use a 1X lite... or any Vapor stick. He always uses a custom build mid kick which is super heavy, normally just under 500g. Bauer dresses them as Vapor sticks for marketing so the kids buy Hyperlites even though those sticks suck.
@@Ethan-mp7wr th-cam.com/video/wx8mTxN_fe4/w-d-xo.html You'll also see that Kane doesn't use any Vapor sticks either. Currently he uses a 2S Pro dressed as a Hyperlite. Caufield doesn't use a Hyperlite either... He uses a intermediate 2N Pro XL dressed as a Hyperlite. Another example is Evgeny Kuznetsov. He uses a Vapor ADV dressed as a Hyperlite. Most of the players that you see using Hyperlites aren't actually using Hyperlites. Again, Bauer dressing old sticks which were decent sticks as their new sticks so the kids would buy the new sticks, even though the new sticks aren't very good at all. If you need a good stick, I'd recommend Warrior and CCM right now. They've been doing amazing with their current sticks (AS4P, T6P, FT4P, LXP, QRE10), and would highly recommend them. They are all very durable except the FT4 Pro, but it's still a great stick. I'd steer clear of True right now tho as their sticks (like the Catalyst 9X and PX) are underpowered like the Hyperlite and more fragile than the last gen CCMs (AS3P, T5P, FT3P). The only good thing about them is the puck feel, which is among the best on the market. AS4P, T6P, LXP > QRE10, FT4P > Geo > Hyperlite > Ultrasonic, C9X, CPX
Geppetto is partially right but it is a low kick about 495- 485g, with his own curve which was invented/ first used by Olli Palola another Finnish player. 18k Carbon weave for the full twig. Low kick but no XE taper, square shaft all the way down and lastly Laine's stick height is 65' shaft (5' taller than retail which is based 60'). 87 flex but with the extended height it will feel like a 72 flex. Grip No texture. HyperLite 2 red graphic. The stick itself was based on an old warrior covert line stick.

Okei, ehkä vähän liioittelin, mutta googlaa liudentunut l tampereeen murteessa, siitä on tehty tutkimuksia. Voi olla että Pate vetää normimansestakin överimmäksi.
Too slow? Maybe a bit slower and cubersome - because he's explaining this to camera. How often do you tape your stick for the camera? Maybe he's novice in that. I hope at least.
