In the end, Damon and Elena almost deserved eachother and Stefan ended up deserving better. He got better in Caroline and I hate that he had to die for Damon and Elena to be happy but alas, Stefan will always choose Damon and Damon will always choose Elena. That's the way it's always been.

The writers moved the relationships to quickly Elena ended up in an intimate relationship with both brothers. A person of Elena's moral consciousness would not have had an intimate relationship with brothers. The writers should have developed the relationships until she made her final choice before introducing the deep physical (intimate) part of the couple's relationship. The love triangle would have still been presence. I must state although the relationship between Stefan and Damon was a great part of the series, I think the writers missed it when they separated Stefan and Elena. Stefan and Elena have couple chemistry every time they are on the set together. Leaving them together through out the series would have taken some creative muscle, but it would have been EPIC.

It's like our parents put our safety and us first even if it doesn't always match our own choices they always know what's best for us it's the same with soulmates they always know what's best for us and never hesitate to do that even if we get mad... So I’m really late to watching this series and this edit but I believe Damon and Elena were good for each Stelena was the easy and safe choice to go but I like how Elena took a chance on both brothers you could see it as ruining the brothers bond together but I see it as not everyone is gonna take the easy way some people like to explore and take risks that’s exactly what Elena did so she may have hurt Stefan but not all good can last forever 💔Delena for life ❤️

delena couldn’t have happened first because then stelena wouldn’t happen, because she always loved damon more. so she would never fall for Stefan when being with Damon. she fell for Damon while with Stefan, it won’t work the other way around. as Johnny depp said, if you love two people, choose the second, because if you loved the first more you would have never fallen in love with the second while with the first. So the whole time she loved damon more, so if she was with Damon first she wouldn’t even dare for Stefan because her love for Damon is so much more

Well, but also at the end she was dead (vampire), and who made her feel alive in that new state was damon. Not happy with the end of the show or couple... for me stefan was the “one”. But I understand the story that the writers create based on that single line in the script “you should love the person that makes you glad that you are alive”.

I have an awkward theory to prove Damon was always the one and his love was true.
It's like our parents put our safety and us first even if it doesn't always match our own choices they always know what's best for us it's the same with soulmates they always know what's best for us and never hesitate to do that even if we get mad... Damon always did that for Elena
But Stefan didn't because he was always worried about his hero image he didn't want Elena to be mad at him or hate him

So I’m really late to watching this series and this edit but I believe Damon and Elena were good for each Stelena was the easy and safe choice to go but I like how Elena took a chance on both brothers you could see it as ruining the brothers bond together but I see it as not everyone is gonna take the easy way some people like to explore and take risks that’s exactly what Elena did so she may have hurt Stefan but not all good can last forever 💔Delena for life ❤️
