This is so sweet and clear - I know a good gemshorn is expensive but, is there anyone making these now so I can purchase one o this quality? I am in the US.
very nice! a sweet and lovely piece well played with good intonation... know by myself the difficulties..... to argus1500: these instruments obviously are not by him, but a good gemshorn maker is rainer schwarze in germany (you'll find his webpage).
I usually put oven mitts on my head, but for non-Vikings... In seriousness, besides a hot water bottle or a hot potato wrapped in a towel, as a novice reading this I wonder if it is that temperamental if someone couldn't try adjusting the opening somehow.
my curiosity led me to a very beautiful sounding instrument :D

A neat bit of European folk
They sound kind of like a cross between ocarinas and recorders.
Beautiful! Can I ask how you warm up your horns? Mine tends to stop if not very warm. What do you do? Lovely ensemble performing!

May I ask where did you buy your instruments? What a lovely music!
"mom what was life like before computers and cellphones?"
my brain:
But what is the name of the song?
Wie heist die Leider?
wo spielen sie? bravi!
