  • This week, the boys head away on an overnight adventure in the Bay of Plenty to explore the Mystery that is Mayor Island. It’s an island like no other with a hike through bush and lakes surrounded by stunning scenery before Scott & Mig get their hands full with some massive resident snapper from the shallows.

      Nothing wrong with 100lb trace in reef country mate.

      @@lukepaul2882 might have to up my 60 an 80s to 100lb then

    • @lukepaul2882
      @lukepaul2882 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@tides4298 60 and 80 is fine too, I just change to suit the situation, reef country and strong snapper jaws can easily put pay to 60lb, I’ve lost a 20+ pound snapper at the boat that snapped a brand new 10/0 black magic c point hook in half (just got the shank back) my point is if your targeting trophy fish no harm in being prepared to land the fish by any means. My go to is also 60lb but if I’m losing fish or they’re taking me to the reef I won’t be shy to go right up to 100lb and skull drag them right from hook up.

      @@lukepaul2882 yh mate i know the power of the fish just 2 weeks ago had a snap brake a 10/0 hook still landed it chur
