Your video is very timely and relevant. I bought this book about 3 weeks ago and I haven’t read it yet. Winter has always been a difficult season for me. I had major back surgery in September and I haven’t given my body the respect and rest it deserves. For some reason I feel guilty about taking time out for just myself. Hopefully this book can change my point of view.
I think you're right that COVID has acted as a sort of low-grade trauma for most of us (unless you were directly affected by it, then perhaps high-level trauma) and that we will probably see the effects of it in some years from now. I have also tried to take stock of my "self-care" activities, like walking the dog, cooking food at home, practicing yoga, reading, etc.
I just purchased this book a few days ago, i had not heard about this anywhere. I had planned to start it on the first evening of winter but after listening to your review i now plan to read it over the thanksgiving holiday. Thank you.
Nice top! (AKA blouse / shirt! ...just in case of any confusion! 😂) - matches well with the book cover as well...though the cover looks more autumny (AKA fall 😂😂) than wintery to me. Sounds interesting though. And seems it would fit into your 'compassion' project - compassion for others AND for YOURSELF. Later Skater. 😉 🦊📚🤓

Thanks so much for watching my backlist 😂

Yoga for the win!
Having had some pretty challenging winters, this book is most timely. I appreciate your comments. I have ordered it. Thanks for sharing with us!
Yahoo! I hope you love it!
I loved this review! I would have loved to hear your list of Winter comforts :) I can always use more ideas!
Ooh good idea!
This book sounds absolutely beautiful. Thank you so much for this lovely and thoughtful review!
Thanks so much :)

Oh, I'm so glad. I hope you love it!
This does sound like a good book. I'm not usually one to pick up self-help books, but I'll put this one on my Goodreads TBR.
Yeah, I loved it.

Haha thanks Foxed Folios (AKA Ali, AKA Allison, AKA Woman with Fun Words Such as "Waffle"). Thanks so much, friend :)
I do miss the social connections and am sad I won't be able to see my son for a long time. I have been doing a lot of reading too.
Same!
Nice review God bless
Thanks :)
Need.
Right?!! haha!
