Keralites are a diverse group, with genetic influences from various cultures and civilizations that traveled to the region over centuries. Kerala's unique geographic position, with its coastline along the Arabian Sea and access to the Western Ghats, made it a hub for trade and cultural exchanges. Ancient travelers from the Middle East, Europe, Africa, and other parts of India reached Kerala, contributing to a rich blend of ethnicities and traditions. There is a scene where asif sheds a tear when he goes to a mortuary in karnataka to see whether the body found is his kid. I like to think that deep inside asif still hopes that his son was not dead from the shot and ran away from his house.

As you said the loop scene was a bit of standout, even after the end is revealed the scene could have been better portaited with child chased by asif around the home, while granddad is watching from the balcony. The 2nd scene must have been for done for more wider acceptance. coz in the starting phase of disease, he could have more insight into his disease, which also he chose to forget while his search continued. Being a military man than could have been his well planned last mission. And with his reveal to his son, he may have given asif the closure, which we also needed. Great review and discussion Nona Prince. I am sure you, me and countless others who watched it has the same reaction through out the movie because its just the way how gripping this story is been written and executed. I totally agree with your second point about the meeting/hugging of the Ajaya and Appu towards the end. the story is written with no loose ends, every person, every scene and every dialogue has a meaning in broader context. I could not make sense why the last meeting was necessary. Hear me out, Ajaya took his wife to hospital. In the meantime, Appu saw the gun and the dead child. Thinking that he might have to bear the blame, he cleans the room, cremates the body and hide the gun. By the time Ajaya returns Appu has forgot about it (Or is he?). As shown, Appu looking at father drinking something casually in the living room. Here the scene ends. I do not get it how did, Appu remembered to do the investigation after it. Help us out pleasee.
The treatment of the film is very close to 'The Separation'. The performance and the making are top notch and the music just elevated the film to extend to a world-class experience! Worth watching in the theatre!!

Excellent, gripping movie. I agree with you about the spiral staircase dream. That was not needed. But what irked me was the BGM. How I wish they had used Sushin Shyam or Jakes Bejoy. The BGM here was so overpowering, it jarred and reduced the impact of the story.
To anyone seeing this.if you plan on watching this movie enjoy it with someone who enjoys the cinema rather than someone who is there for a mass masala film
The first half for me was like what is this it's so boring and slow paced . But then when i got to the interval i was at the edge of my seat it was intriguing and confusing because the story till then hasn't reached anywhere but after watching the second half it all made sense. This movie is the perfect example of the phrase "sabar ka phal meetha hota hai". Because it was all worth it in the second half. The more and more we discovered about the characters the more and more we feel a part of them. And the mind-boggling bomb shell in the end was the perfect icing on the cake. This movie was clearly made with so much care and thought. Amazing direction and what an amazing storytelling. 10 on 10 would recommend. One of the best suspense movies I watched this year after Bhrama yugam
Don't be overhyped by seeing all excellent reviewes. What the movie with a open mind and if you are a true movie lover,, you will love this to the core, it's not that it's special movie, no the movie is special when it comes to the way it is presented
Malayalam cinema is such a kind of acquired taste that once you get hooked, there is no going back to the usual stuff that’s dished out. The attempt to painfully recollect, investigate and record the forgotten only to destroy it upon finding its truth uncomfortable and then repeating the entire process afresh again because it's forgotten was really an eye opener on the travails the patients of Alzheimer or Dementia suffer and how some of them adapt to survive independently. Incorporating such an element of time loop in a non sci-fi movie shows the limitless possibilities of our imagination.
Hey Prince, the reason grandfather gives away that revealation to Asif Ali is only because he is standing there burning all the evidence of his finding and he knows, what has taken place so there couldn’t have been a better timing other than him burning evidences, but mildly confronting with Asif Ali.
The two points you mentioned are for the common cinema lovers palpable. Only cinephiles are not enough to recover the cost. So little tadka is ok I believe.
Another reason why I think Nolan would like is the inspiration from Memento. Not from an outright story steal point of view like Ghajinj but the part where the character finds out the truth and then wipes out the evidence cause he doesn’t want to live in that truth and starts all over again Somehow I feel the writer must have taken that seed and built a whole new life
There are Major SPOILERS about the film in this video. Pls watcj Only if you have seen the film

I saw it today in the theatre. The story builds up slowly. simple yet impactful

Masala means mix gener 😂
Thanks for pramoting our industry

Learn Malayalam language. You will be able to connect to the movie to another level. If you no longer want to watch other movies.😂
ARM❤️❤️❤️ kondal❤️❤️❤️❤️ kishkinda❤️❤️❤️ bad boys❤️❤️❤️
Don't be overhyped by seeing all excellent reviewes. What the movie with a open mind and if you are a true movie lover,, you will love this to the core, it's not that it's special movie, no the movie is special when it comes to the way it is presented
Thanks you for giving honest reviews❤
Great movie. Even after a day couldnt come out of it
Malayalam cinema is such a kind of acquired taste that once you get hooked, there is no going back to the usual stuff that’s dished out.
Not from an outright story steal point of view like Ghajinj but the part where the character finds out the truth and then wipes out the evidence cause he doesn’t want to live in that truth and starts all over again
Somehow I feel the writer must have taken that seed and built a whole new life
