You actually can put the pin back in a grenade in real life. The thing that triggers the grenade countdown is the handle (called the spoon) on the side of the grenade falling off. Once you've pulled the pin you can hold the grenade forever as long as you hold the spoon on. To actually cook a grenade you'd have to let the spoon drop off, which doesn't actually happen in siege.

If you time it right, it’s less risky to stand on the roof, open games window, and chuck the nade in to get rid of the utility on the wall upstairs in Oregon. BUT, you need a teammate to burn ADSs and Wamai Magnets for you if you do that. But in my experience in most lower ranks people don’t prepare well for that.

Why are you saying the finger technique doesn't work anymore? It was working in your custom game and Ive used it in a real match. You throw it a slit second after the index finger lifts. Ive seen the finger not lift if you spam leaning though
It doesn't work for me, I think the timing has changed on it. Or maybe it's changed per operator? I just know it's not consistent enough to rely on anymore.
@@alyttleton Ill test it out more as I play. Ive seen the finger sometimes not lift if your moving and spamming lean, but if your standing still Ive always seen the finger lift and then I throw it a split second later.
@@nopenope2461 it changed. I used to rely on it but it's now slightly off. If you throw at 7m for the thumb trick it'll bounce off the roof and explode in the wrong spot. It's a half a second or so longer
@@alyttleton 7m 7 ticks only works in non-multiplayer games such as T-Hunt, or local custom games. For Casual/Ranked/etc live multiplayer matches, the nade timing is actually longer and 7m7t will be too early. I guess Ubi doesn't know the discrepency.

I also do this sometimes! Now and then you get a cheeky kill with someone being afk near the wall!
