3. திருவள்ளுவர் வரலாற்றுச் சுருக்கம்
(1) பிறந்த ஊர்
திருவள்ளுவர், தாம் பிறந்தது கரூர் நாடு என்று பலபாடல்களில் குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளார். நான்கு சான்றுகளை இங்கு பதிவு செய்கின்றேன்:
(i) அத்திபுரம் இலகுகின்ற கருவூர் நாட்டில் அறைவீட்டில் குடியிருந்து அமைந்தேன் ஆண்டே
