I can’t say how gutted I was. The team played like heroes. Loads of positives. Think we need to learn once and for all that they have to concentrate for the whole game, whether it’s 90 or 94 mins. Mistakes cost. We had the chance to win against arguably the best team in Europe. We’ve played nearly all the top teams now. Let’s start getting back up the table and beating teams. We can do it. Great performance by Villa but they were not the better team overall and the stats will back this up. Firmino wrongly ruled offside and Mane wrongly booked for diving. Good luck for the rest of the reason and should easily survive.

Considering we played Liverpool with only 10 men it was a solid performance from the lads - Wesley was AWOL all day AGAIN! The rest of the lads fought like lions. Roll on January until we can get a striker cos Wesley certainly isn't one. He's just showing every week now that he's way out of his depth here. Get rid. Shame we failed in our marking for two late mistakes. It undid an otherwise great day's work. Nothing to fear in this league if we can show skill and effort like that every week. UTV VTID

Alri Max lad.. I said online somewhere early this week after watching the redmentv channel on here that we would give these scouse f@ckwits the fright of their lives today and didn't we just pal.. We're not that far away from being a top top side Stokesay mate and with a coue of very good additions and we'll make it into the top 6. The top 4 is only a season away if we keep this squad together mate.. Marvelous is a joy to behold and he will only get better with game time in his legs.
Dean Smith is doing a great job with the team. We got so u lucky with Citeh & Liverpool coming so soon after the 2 good wins against Norwich and Brighton.
Look pal all we have to do is stay the course and we'll be fine this season. This season was only ever about making sure we stayed up first and foremost. We've been in every game this season and conce traction has let us down in so many of those big fixtures but the players will learn from it. I know most won't want to hear this but maybe Mings needs to be dropped or rested for a game or 2 and bring in Konss or Bsuse and give them a chance. Tyrone was bad for the goal at City and he does make some howlers at times. He did it in the championship last season also. He has to iron those mistakes out of his game soon or we will keep suffering these losses. Don't get me wrong though I love the lad. He's been brilliant for the most part but he has these silly lapses of concentration in his game and at this level u need to nip it sooner rather than later.
Look even Van Dyk made silly errors at Celtic and Southampton early on but now he barely has a blip in a season and that's the level I wanna see Tyrone getting to by next season.
I'm going to get pterd for saying that about Tyrone and I'm OK with that but in the cold light of day most will know what I'm saying to be true.
We played so well and without Jack as well. Liverpool came to Villa Park thinking we were going to fold in the face of their pace and power but we gave them the shock of their lives and Wolves will get the same treatment next week as well.
