- These coms have been great for improving efficiency and safety on site. From the smallest to biggest jobs we've loved using them.
Definitely worth moving to the future if you haven't tried Bluetooth ear muffs for tree work.
Retailing around £300-400 they are expensive but definitely worth the money.
One defect I've had with one out of four headsets is the microphone has broken. I'm in contact with the supplier for them to send me out a new one however free of charge. I'll keep you guys updated to see how they last long term!
Hope you find this useful.
Thanks for clicking on another Tpott's Trees video. I really hope you enjoy/enjoyed what you see.

Hi all. I now use a sena. amzn.to/40nYKLm
Purchase though this link to help out the channel
What model?
@@HenryLT smh5 the cheapest set. You get them cheaper in packs of 2. any model will work great
Just bought 2 sets from Gusharts as I had 5% discount from previous purchase. Thanks for a good review.
That was awesome review! i been thinking of these and now im sure its not a waste of money! Thanks for the review! 👍Greetings from a climber in Finland!
Regardless of what brand you get they are definitely worth the money. Do some research and pick a set based on how much you want to spend 😁
Good review didn't realize you can fit them to protos ,I run the sena 10s and its been sweet ,ive used the protos comms and they shiet dont have very good range and way over priced for what they are ,cheers from new zealand 🤙
These are the only ones I've used but from what I can gather they are all basically a senna headset with branded external cases 😂
Jusy an update on these headsets. We got 10 in bulk so i think i have a decent idea of there faults now.
The microphones react poorly to heavy rain, we have had to replace 3 microphones.
1 set has a faulty speaker probably due to water damage too. They are light rain proof but are better to be swapped out in a heavy rain for lonf periods of time. The concept of a wirless headset in the tree game is a god send. Id maybe wait for them to sort out this issue or take more care in wet weather with them then we did.
Apparently there is an adjustment for the earmuffs to either increase or decrease the pressure of muffs over the ear which would help better reduce the noise. It would be a balance of comfort/noise reduction
Yes I have them pressed as hard as they can :)
I have been using mine for about 3 months. We have been felling big dead grand fir, having 3 pairs of eyes watching for broken tops has been a game changer. I forgot them last week for a small dismantle, you dont realise how much more difficult it is not being able to talk to each other.
The only negative so far is listening to someone with a hacking cough and bubbling snotty nose.
Yes they are awesome. We generally have the mics turned off and use the push to talk feature
Which waterproof jacket it's the best for rainy days bud ?
Proper arborist one's are lightweight but they don't last long in rain.
The coats we use are pretty bad to be honest.
My colleague buys his own coats and highly recommends a "keela kintyre" coat. He has bought a second as they are so good. His first one lasted 10 years of solid use and was still waterproof. Not too expensive, the arb specific ones are overpriced
Climbing Arborist did a rain gear review a few months ago. Check it out
Try Grundens. They have a fairly heavyweight version.
🤗
Good review. Don’t they automatically turn off when charged?
@@hazzagawa you cant overcharge them as they stop when full. I used to charge them overnight no problem. They only need bout 15 mins to get a really good charge for the day
@TPOTTS_TREEScheers. Looking at getting two pairs now.
@@hazzagawa I use the Sena smh5 now. You need to install it yourself and drill holes though.
If you just want simplicity then the procoms are good. A little bulky and the mics sometimes on gen 1 would be affected if worn in extreme wet weather
Have you got a link to the brackets ?
@@Aaron-zf7ev search 3m brackets. They should come up :)
How you doing bud and why you haven't uploaded anything recently??? 😓
I'm sorry dude, I recenty got my large motorbike licence and have been touring around on that in Europe and across the UK. I've been having a lot of fun but I do agree I need to get back into a more regular schedule. Thanks for sticking around man 🙌
Is it just me or do these seem like the Sena Tuff Talk systems? 🤔🧐
Very similar
Hi mate. When connected to someone how do you cancel it so you not consistently talking on the mic?
How do you you out it in push to talk only and not live chat?
Click the Bottom right button once . It will say mic off click again for the mic off. Bottom left button for push to talk
