    John and Randy, thanks for this master class. I`ve been playing for almost 20 years and last month my little boy @ age of 16 started to have tennis class (for my delighted, by the way...). As I have an one-hand BackHand(BH) and I feel like helping him with his 2-handed BH, I was looking for an instructional video on that subject and for my big surprise I received your last e-mail sooner. Believe me: It was just exactly what I was looking for! Anyway, I have taken some notes and will put them in practice with him next time we step on the court. I am really sure that those steps will transform his BH and his confidence as well. So, one more time, many thanks! Be safer! Yours, Agnaldo.

    Eeexcellet video! Thank you very much!
    What I value the most:
    - Comfortable side distance, much closer than a lefty fh
    - Contact in front of the front leg.
    - Extension
    Over the extension, Agassi, Rafa, and Nalbandian, are more left arm dominant. and extend more with the left arm. Novak extends a lot but with both arms. It seems to me that makes him follow through giving a straight up and down topspin, giving him more prediction of the shot.

    John, I've watched several of your videos now and really love your laid back teaching style and the way you communicate key points simply and effectively. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. Rick Macci has nothing on you!
    Quick question, what grip do you prefer players use for the non-dominant hand?

    • @PerformancePlusTennis
      @PerformancePlusTennis  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Sean, Thanks for your kind comments and support! The grip I recommend for the non-dominant hand is the eastern forehand grip. Kindly, John

    Hi John. This video has been helpful but wanted to make sure you need to put your left foot (if right handed) behind your right when initiating the unit turn correct? Think I’ve been just doing the unit turn without that and I feel constricted and miss the ball. Thanks!

    • @PerformancePlusTennis
      @PerformancePlusTennis  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi, Thanks for the feedback and question. For a neutral stance the left foot would be behind the right so you alignment is perpendicular to the target. There is also the semi-open and open stances (although less ideal for most) which place the left/ back foot in different positions in relation to the right. I hope this provides clarity. Best, John

    Hey John! Is it ok to have a two-handed backhand when I dont have enough time(for example with serve-returns)? Or should I find out a way to always let my one-handed backhand work?

    • @PerformancePlusTennis
      @PerformancePlusTennis  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi and thanks for your great question. When it comes to returning serve, do what you need to get into the point. You can block with one hand like we see Federer do, or slice, or use two-hands if that works for you. Break once and hold keep holding serve...thanks, John
