I LOVE this idea!! I save so many magazine pages and papers and scraps because they are pretty, but I never know what to do with them. I'm addicted to washi tape, so I'm going to give this a try!

Super great idea although i am only 2 years late to the party!!!! I was sorting old photos and some that were indistinct made great borders in mixed media or like you used them, as washi tape! How many pictures of fall leaves do you need? LOL!!

Is it difficult to use tissue paper on a gelli plate? Because it's so thin I thought it would rip?

I do it all the time... just put a little more paint than usual (just a little juicier) and don't leave it on... mostly just put it on and pull it off. It isn't like the "real" gel plates where you can do layers and layers, but it works great...:)

I also have trouble with gelli print with tissue paper. Finally I find paper that don't fall aparat. Unfortunately is in black color. I think that you need to find little bit thicker tissue paper that have one like shiny side.
