Raw Wingsuit Flight - Dream Lines

- June 24, 2022. Squirrel Corvid 2 ultralight wingsuit, Stream 2 container, Ibex UL 250 canopy and 38“ snatch pilot chute.
I opened this jump in 2021 and have spent a lot of time assessing the terrain for flight lines and hazards. This was my 15th flight from this exit point and I had built awareness of this line over previous flights. I hiked from the bottom of the mountain starting at 6.30am. 8.48km, 1588m elevation gain and 2 hrs 43 mins of hiking. I picked wild strawberries on the hike, listened to a podcast on wingsuiting from good friends and just appreciated the peace and beauty of hiking alone in nature. On the edge before jumping I stretched, checked my gear and visualised my flight. I then made good use of the smooth morning air and enjoyed a beautiful flight. Flying is how I express myself. I feel no pressure from my sponsors to send it, in fact the opposite. I don't do this for attention, rather I feel self conscious about posting my videos online and don't post a lot of my stuff because of this. But this is me. I love to fly. I like to progress and to showcase what I can do in a wingsuit. Through skills training, gradual progression, knowing myself and my limits I am able to do this flight safely. There is a disconnect between what looks dangerous and what is actually killing people. Writing off flights like this as crazy or unsustainable only contributes to misinformation and making safety worse. While maybe confronting, I hope that this generates discussion about the skills to fly safely in the mountains. I would encourage everyone to fly within their own limits and to be passionate about whatever it is they enjoy in life. - บันเทิง
1:10 literally shocked me when he went _under_ that tree and had to pull up right after to not hit the hill. This was so so gnarly to watch!!!
RIP... he seemed like a great guy
RIP man, you always knew how to send it!! Big love
I'm heavy-hearted reading the description of this video.
It reads as if he truly believed what he was doing was safe, and didn't want anyone telling him otherwise.
But I get the feeling that flying this aggressively and this close to the ground can never be safe, no matter how experienced the pilot.
Saddens me to hear of his death.
RIP Chris. Your cheerful personality always made me smile, and your flights were an absolute thrill to watch!
He knew the consequences. He lived his life just the way he wanted. We should be so lucky. Chris was a good man, we can only dream to be half the man he was. Stay safe out there kids, but live your life.
When you're constantly hanging by the edge you are bound to fall over one day... play stupid games win stupid prices I guess, I will never understand why people feel the need to risk their life just for the heck of it... to each their own I guess
@@rickclark6700 half the man he was ? The sick background is his sponsors paid for risking his life, financing his life. For a very high price. That’s not living his dream or whatever you wanna name it. And if you glorify this way to much. Them are adrenaline junkies and it’s not what makes them not possessed and not addicted. That’s not the easy peacy life . But a short life.
@@kreterakete cool story, needs a few more dragons though.
I totally agree, this flight path looked incredibly dangerous. He came so close to the ground on some occasions that it leaves no margin for error. Therefore the slightest drop in speed or turbulence could have made him crash and die.
There's close and then there's GoPro close... Mate, you were GoPro close to the ground and trees almost the entire flight... Pure animal!!
This cannot possibly be maintained for a length of time. Death is just inches and seconds away through half the flight. Madness.
Yes he died doing this
God must have been goddammed Chris, I made you human not a bird! @@jennjennjenn61992
@@MrTruckerfyep. He died on this line a few months later i believe.
Eternal love sent to a beautiful human being. 🌈🕉️❤️
I got Goosebumps watching this line.
INSANE FLIGHT!
Never seen in months. And i follow a lot wingsuit pilots.
That’s a level of risk taking not long for this world. Chris died on 7/18/22 in Switzerland while BASE jumping.
Truly amazing stuff
WOW! Amazing skills mate! Mind blown!
Not just living the dream... inventing new dreams... subscribed!
Lots of love ❤️
Dude, people like you are sorely missed! ❤
Next level bro!!! amazing flying, what a line!!!!
Cheers Broey 🤘😁🤘
B-E-A-UTIFUL ride my man!
This is one of the craziest most beautiful proximity flights I have ever seen!! Insane!
Yes not even Jokke sommer is close,That was his biggest 🇧🇻 Norwegians have birth to this frying +corliss....we got mountains thats best for this shit
Bravo mate! 👏 savage line
This is possibly, one of the craziest lines of modern day wing suiting. Much love from Aus, Chris.
Thank you 🙂 I am proud to represent Australia as a wingsuit pilot.
@@greenflyingdude well,well
hes proud 💜@@kreterakete
This video is my introduction to you. When I saw "Dream Lines," I wasn't actually expecting a Dream lines line. 1:08 Jesus Fucking Christ, that's one of the gnarliest lines that I've ever seen, and the flight leading up to that was already at an expert level. I'm a bit speechless. Master level flying. Stay safe as you can be out there.
Pushin the edge!
You are an absolute mad man.
UNBELIEVABLE!
This is craaazy man. Flight ratio looks so good :-)
Awesome dude
Dude....that is the first line I've watched in 5 years that brought back the buzz of seeing proxy flights.
Pure insanity perfectly executed. Great skill. Please sit back and let that integrate into reality for a while.
Thank you 🙂 Yeah for sure it has been nice to take some time to chill and reflect after this flight.
Which GoPro ?
You know why it's good? Not only the flying but its because I think he's using a regular gopro and NOT a 360 cam. We've become desensitized to just how bad 360 cam footage is, at least as used and presented by most flyers.
@@greenflyingdude as if
Bro is dead now
Impressed.
Blue skies, Chris.
That was Spectacular! I like to put my arms out and my face close up to the screen and pretend it's me flying! Luvyoozall 321 Dream!
Man this is some of the most intense flying I've ever seen. You are really really pushing it. I hope you stay safe man, but I mean, you're definitely living your life how you want at the end of the day haha. What an incredible incredible line, amazing video.
Sad to read this and realise you posted it only days before he flew his final Dream Line 😞
The ones that he replied to just a few weeks ago is even creepier
@@bodhi6769 which?
Wowwww. Thanks for another one. Last time was crazy but this one even more. This is what we all want to see. The thumbnail in my browser showed up and it was clear you did some epic flying there. Thanks a lot for sharing this insane stuff with us. Big love❤️
1:10
Pure insanity.
There is a handful that come close : Jokkie, Uli, Dario, Jeb,Tomic....but This is the wilidest most daring line prox by far....imho. RIP Chris
insane!
RIP Chris
Hard to believe this has only 40k views. My man going *under* tree branches!!!
This is the best line I've seen in a few years. Keep it up brah!
Ha! There is no possible way to cheat death every time on flights like this.
@@MrTruckerf yeah sadly I think this was one of his last flights. 😕
Yeah. I heard about not long after watching this the first time
Fly high broey♡
Insane to watch this skill would be a tough route with a Drohne but that's more than next level 🙏🏻❤️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
This is one I will be watching over and over and over... Super Dream Line Chris, thanks for sharing mate. 😊❤👍
My pleasure 🙂
Dead pleasure
@@kreterakete Do you think you are funny posting those comments? Or maybe feeling superior because you will never put your life in danger like he did?
I didn't know the guy and don't enjoy wingsuit, but for real, what's the point? To me that's just pathetic comments and attempts to boost your ego. Am I wrong?
@@kreterakete buddy... wtf????
@@kreterakete Are you alright mate, are you struggling with something mentally that you need to keep spamming these messages all over his videos and disrespecting everyone especially his family and friends in this way?
Dayum dude! What a line. Would love to wingsuit one day.
Dying to live man, RIP my friend.
Awesome Fly
Fantastik, RIP!

Love you too Byrnes Dogg. Yeww
Rest in Peace, so very sad
Dude had crazy talent! May the fella rest in peace.
that was so messed up. such an incredible line. i wonder how many times he jumped that line before to pull that? it helps to think i imagine he got to live more than most. rip lord of the sky
Under the tree’s, not beside them or just over them, under them ha ha 😅
Awsome 💪🏻👍🏻🤟🏻. Where is it ? Beautiful landscape
wow mate... 😥😥😥 too soon!
DUDE. This is among the most insane flights I've ever seen. You went below the friggin tree! 🤯
You are insane. Love your positive energy. How do you even get up there btw? Seems very inaccessible.
Stay safe 😄✌
Btw, I feel like your GoPro could maybe be angled ever so slightly more upward. It's pointing a bit too far down if you ask me
Yeah I had it angled way too low on a previous flight and adjusted it for this one. Gotta find the right balance. Makes it a bit tricky when I'm switching the GoPro between different helmets to keep the same angle.
Yeah the approach to this cliff is along a very exposed ridge. The first time I went up I hiked down. And then came back with crampons to get up the steep grass. But now that I know the way it is much easier. But it is exposed and requires careful foot placement and following the exact right way. I followed mountain goat paths to find the path of least resistance.
@@greenflyingdude Amazing. Thanks for the reply.
Looking forward to more videos.
Cheers!
@@greenflyingdude RIP Chris, it was an honor to have talked to you. I loved your positive spirit.
@@FPFPV He was a good pilot more will rise up. wingsuit is agood sport..
Switzerland. How can there be a country as beautiful as this?
Rip Chris
Damn bro. Just heard. RIP bro
I remember Graham Hunt doing either this line or one overlapping with parts of it. The first serious dip that he comes out of with the slight hill beneath him and the tree on his left is etched in my memory from seeing Graham do it. His channel disappeared which sucks because I thought I had his videos saved to drive but I don't. If any one else has them please contact me. My contact is on the front page of my channel.
Oh man I remember the original dream lines videos. Lol
It ain't funny bro. This man had skills what happened was a mis calculation
OMG!
Your gonna poke an eye out !
R.I.P
The adrenaline rushes into your blood just by watching. My goodness, that's dangerous!
may he rest in peace now 😥
half of video I was sure it was captured by drone not by real human...but well.... this looks sick af
🙏🖤🙏
Rip man
This man died 24 days later, on the 18th of July 2022. I wish that we could edit his video commentary to include that unfortunate detail. I wonder if he would think of this as a "safe" flight now... I'm sure that anyone that follows this man's example will also say it's safe, until it's too late to change your opinion.
How do you plan these out? How do you know the angle/trajectory will actually work out?!
This was my 15th flight from this exit. I was the first to jump from this cliff. The preparation included looking at Google Earth and topographic maps. Using a laser range finder to map the terrain. Walking the flight line to assess hazards. And then building awareness of flight lines over multiple jumps, looking at GPS flight data and debriefing video of previous flights. When I find some time I will make a video showing the process.
@@greenflyingdude thanks for the reply. Amazing to hear the level of prep work that goes into this; fine tuning it to such a specific degree. Good stuff, will keep an eye out for that video 👍
I was going to write a comment disagreeing with your description and saying you shouldn't be so sure of yourself. Accidents can happen quickly and they're just accidents. Then I unfortunately remembered seeing you died. No one in the base or speedflying community should kid themselves. Death is always very much possible, and you realise every hot shot top name is pretty much just as likely to die as another(bad luck will sometimes pick you, or you can go a whole life being lucky. The more times you spend doing high risk activity, the higher your chances).
1:12/1:13 that was about 2m above. WOW
1:12 omg
Tu byłem.Tony Halik 2022.
Let’s be honest… did you really plan to go under the tree branches at 1:11? My goodness!! 🌳👍🏼
Should have stopped with this one.
@@MrTruckerf yea, but they dont stop. Just look at Jeb. If you hit the rocks at 125 mph, somehow survive and still go on, this tells you everything you need to know...they love it and thats just the way it is.
'Yeah that's low'
*flies under a tree
'Faaaaaarrrrrrrrrk'
Where you go under the canopy of that tree & skim over the grass by maybe 2 or 3 metres, that is a risk most people would not take! Hope I don't see your name on the bfl anytime soon, or ever 👍
After the houses exit to the left. Ok.
1:08 😳😲
1:11 I know. Underneath the walnut tree. Gheewhizz. That’s Hybris. But for sure a Dream line.
Why? Why jump in such cloudy conditions? smh… Glad u made it out ok but why?
5 min into reading comments, found out he’s no longer with us 😢.
Rip
Awesome flight, it's just amazing but please don't fly that close to the ground stay safe.
too bad for his friends and family, he didn't listen :/
unfortunatelly he passed away 2 weeks ago... What a legend with those flying skills, still you can see how a good person he was, he said a few times "I love you all", we also love you Chris....
Ack.
i know its bad to say this but everyone saw it coming... i predict tomic is next
He pulls high because altitude is safety, right 😅
what were the exact reasons for his death?
Not knowing your limits.
@@Gorgonzollla that was not very "Exact"
@@gbessone Hitting a Tree while filming a video
@@Gorgonzollla No it wasn't. It was a mis calculation..
Jesus Christ. Did you go under those trees?
He died in 2022RIP❤Chris ,this is cool but DANGEROUS NO MARGIN FOR ERROR
And then he died...
The video description didn't age well. Just like Chris. RIP!
I still think this is a fun activity and want to try it some day. But maybe I'll skip flying that close to cheese graters.
He died due to miscalculation he hit a tree. and he was good at this rip :( honestly he was cool
..
I thought he ain't going to last the way hes going through the bottom half of those trees. For some, proximity flying is probably close to an addiction like heroin and if you OD there's no coming back.
... well that didn't age well.. writing off flights like this as dangerous and unsustainable is misinformation? No its the truth.. rip 🙏
He was taking about skills. How someone with alot of skill has a better chance then let's say a moderate Wingsuiter.
And how he feels safe because he knows what he is doing.. that's what he meant. like a pilot it looks dangerous but they know how to fly. same thing here. what happened was an accident. a mis calculation Perhaps
Let's put it this way he got over confident.... but he was still a Good guy bro :( so sad
If this dude is still alive, my bro your lines are sketch as fu k
RIP 18.7.22
Go Pro - Be an Idiot
And everything ruined by fisheye camera. I don't understand it - you want to show other people scary distances and fly, and use camera that makes false picture of it. With fisheye effect you can stand on hill and that will look like you stand on top of skyscrapper.
your comment makes no sense - but what you say how insanely low he looks is then even lower
Yet he actually did this, and all you got is a negative comment for a dude that gave it his all.
Those are prohibited lines
WoW. fuck. safe. yo :D
