I really like that this series of videos is based on "vision"...Not being all that creative, developing vision is a bit daunting...This kind of information provides exceptional before/after results that help "seeing" the possibilities much like Nigels' "big Cuts"...Options that are not apparent become more viable once observed from the sidelines...Again, thanks for sharing your experience and vision in such and enjoyable format...Sequim, WA...

Excellent points! Are there any bonsai clubs or groups near you? I love going to workshops where you see like 15 trees all go from rough material to a decent bonsai design start. It’s a great experiment that I highly recommend especially for folks starting out. Best of luck 🤞

Glad you enjoyed it! I’m not always totally excited when finishing a tree, but I am very excited to see how this one develops. Thanks for commenting!!

Wow, I was expecting you to cut off the smaller section and leave the big trunk....quite a change for the future..👍

I’m excited to see how this one looks going toward. I’m very happy with the taper and the remaining branches are all in a great position to result in a great looking tree.
This variety is a slow grower, but I am hoping to speed it up by growing it all winter long. We’ll see!
