When Opie died i cried so hard. You knew it was coming, he'd given up on life after Donna, but I wanted him to stay on. Jax, I was sad but it really was the perfect way to send him off. Perfect way to end the series. Tara, such an amazing scene, perfectly captured his pain. I loved this show.
Part of what makes Opie's death so hard is: Tig looking away with tears in his eyes unable to watch. Chibs screaming at the top of his lungs & pounding on the glass in an attempt to get to Opie. Then Jax crying & watching before turning away halfway through beating followed by his tears drying up & you can just see in his eyes that Jax has snapped
Kurt Sutter revealed in an interview that he realized Tara (Maggie Siff) had to die when shooting season 2. The reason for this was that when facing the final season, Jax (Charlie Hunnam) had to be a man completely devastated, without supports.
The most heartbreaking scene is when Abel is adopted in ireland and Jax follows the adoptive parents and Abel and realise that Abel is better of with them, kills me everytime😭
Say what you will about Tig, but him having to watch what happened to his daughter sent my stomach to the floor. Room full of grown ass men and you could hear a pin drop after that scene
What made that sad when when the MC thought they’d get him back only to shoot him in his head in front of Jax… Jax was completely devastated by that because Munson(Bobby) stayed loyal even when he thought Jax would become a nomad for good
My favorite show of all time, and will always be. It could have a top 10 of heartbreaking moments for every season. Half sacks death before he could even become a full member, Unser standing between Gemma and a mad Jax as loyal as a dog even knowing what will happen. Jax killing his own mom. Bobby's death. Gemmas dad begging not to be put in a retirement home. This show is a neverending roller coaster of emotions
One of them was when the club was sent a footage of Bobby's torture and his eye getting goughed out at the hands of Augustus’ henchmen during a meeting with The Mayans .That song Greensleeves playing in the background was pretty melencholy.
On Tig: "he runs over and kills a woman he believes associated." Tig wasn't gunning for Veronica - he was going after Laroy who was head of the Niners. He killed Veronica by mistake, the same way he killed Donna by mistake and BOTH of them for Clay - that's why it was so tragic.
I immediately knew what #1 was as soon as I read the title! Right when #1 started, I said “I got this” to myself and started crying my eyes out all over again. The first time I saw that scene I was too emotionally distraught… after all these years, even just seeing clips of that scene still gets to me. This will always be my favorite show. Besides the fact it was a FIRE show, it debuted on or around my birthday if memory serves me. Best early birthday present ever lol. Thanks Mojo!!!!
@@ConStins70 That's awesome!! I love that. Lol. I just finished watching it for probably the 100th time about 2 weeks ago. Haha. It's such a good show!
The scene with Opie dying was so hard to watch. Especially w/ Chibbs screaming at the top of his lungs & slapping his hands against the glass....heartbreaking . The acting was top-notch in this series
@@thegodofpez I really liked the first season but after that it just wasn't as good. I was so excited for the second season and it felt like a forever wait. Each second lacked from the previous. I was crushed when Coco died tho!
@@thegodofpez it's actually pretty good imo. Of course nothing will top Sons but it's a good alternative. The Sons are in it quite often as well along with a few appearances of SAMCRO members. It's deff worth watching if liked Sons.
First time found this show by accident, turns out I really like it, watching it every night after work. Donna' death really start something in me, that I knew this show gonna be tragic and heart breaking, and then...Opie's death confirm it, I can't take that he was go out like that, I pause the show for like 4 month just because of it. When I'm back, Tara's death hit me like a truck, from then I realise I was to attached with the show, I cry as much as when Opie died. I ready myself to finish the show and the last episode, with the last scene, I was smiling like the way Jax smile because he find his "peace" at the end of his journey. Hands down, the best show I've ever watch
I think Donna's death was most impacful to me. The fact that it was a ploy from the cops, that it was dumb luck they switched cars and that one of their own, someone he trusted could do that to Opie. That an innocent paid the price - and the family suffered. The rest of the show is firmly connected to violence - so to a degree we expect it. But the club prides itself that what is most important are family and friends we trust. And in that moment we see it all come crashing down - you really can't trust anyone
This show had so many amazing and sad moments but for me the Juice telling Jax about Tara's death is ICONIC acting from both and when Jax tells Nero in the last episode " I need my kids to grow up hating the thought of me" And you hear Daddy from his son and Jax cracks a slight sad smile that is acting and that broke me more than anything. ICONIC over anything
Glad they got number 1 correct. Opie’s death is among the most heartbreaking & painful scenes I’ve ever watched. I have never cried as intensely as I did when Opie was killed. Was utterly inconsolable. I watched it when the episode originally aired, & I’ve never watched it again. I’ve rewatched the series, but I always skip the episode & don’t even rewatch the clips on TH-cam. I just can’t, too painful.
I think after watching The Sheild and seeing that Jax and Vic Mackey were going down the same path..Jaxs death was very prophetic. Very sad, as he was my TV boyfriend. But there are two episodes I can not watch again..ever. The one with the dog fight and Opies death. I do the ugly cry. I even met Ryan at a bike show after that episode. I burst into tears. That one really got me.
When Pope forced Tig to watch his daughter burn to death, omg, his cries were heart wrenching and so well done. I cried so hard watching that. Opie's death was sad but he was already a broken man and pretty much was ready for it, what made it harder was his friends seeing it happen. Tara dying, I give it to the show, that caught me off guard, I was floored on that one. Jax dying was the least heartbreaking of all. The show cheated us viewers bad with that one. All the time and years invested in the show, getting to know the characters and build an alliance with some, not so much with others, only to take the show out the way they did. It was cheesy and stupid. The purposeful "feel of Christ on the cross" kind of take was like, oh no you didn't. If there was anything those people weren't, it was anything even close to that. They could've come up with a lot better way to kill Jax off. We deserved better than they gave us. Another disappointing Sopranos type moment. I hate when shows enthrall us for years only to take us out like that. Shame on them
@@blacknite8060 I'll be honest, I didn't make it past the first few episodes. God I miss this fcking show so so much! Yo number 9 is truly heartbreaking because of Wendy. Also because Jax sank to a low that was just fcked up and sad. Jax lost a lot a faith with that horrific move. Tigs daughter, no words. Juice’s whole storyline the last 2 seasons was just hard. I was glad when he died because the pain would end for him and I couldn’t handle his arc anymore. Tara’s death sucked because it was so absolutely pointless. A few sentences could have changed that whole situation. Everything after that was just horrible. Gemma’s lies caused so much damage and Bobby’s death. Opie my boy, he wanted to go, he was done. I’m very passionate about Sons Of Anarchy. What a great list WatchMojo!

Same! It broke my heart
Yeah + Jax saying goodbye to everybody was really sad to me.
Opie gave most to the club. His father, his wife, and then his own life. Talk about dedication.

Exactly. Opie’s death broke his heart, and Tara’s death completely shattered what was left of it
On Tig: "he runs over and kills a woman he believes associated." Tig wasn't gunning for Veronica - he was going after Laroy who was head of the Niners. He killed Veronica by mistake, the same way he killed Donna by mistake and BOTH of them for Clay - that's why it was so tragic.

Tig wasn't aiming for the girl. He was aiming for the gang member because Clay lied about who shot him, and blamed it in the black gang.
I cried my eyes out during Jax’s last ride. It was so heartbreaking
