Thank you for video, do you know this story and can you guid me to any reference about this : There is a famous Georgian old story called "Tetri Giorgi" (White George) that tells the tale of someone coming back to their homeland.
The story revolves around a young man named Giorgi, who leaves his village to seek his fortune in the city. After many years of hard work and success, Giorgi decides to return to his homeland. However, when he arrives, he finds that his village has changed drastically.
The once vibrant and close-knit community has become divided and plagued by conflicts. Giorgi is determined to bring peace and unity back to his village. He uses his wisdom and kindness to reconcile the feuding families and heal the wounds of the past.
Through his efforts, Giorgi manages to restore harmony and happiness to the village, reminding the people of the importance of love, forgiveness, and unity. He becomes a respected and beloved figure, and his story continues to inspire generations to come.
This story highlights the power of returning to one's roots and the impact a single individual can have on their community. Thank you

Or any story similar to this story in Georgian mythology ?

I have not heard of that exact story but Tetri Giorgi translates to white George, as in saint George which became a favorite saint in Georgian consciousness.
Saint George replaced many local heros and gods who had similar warrior and dragon slayer attributes, white George in particular is thought to be older Moon god warrior.
most Georgian man are Called Giorgi for his honor.

Bordo, I really appreciate your show, I'm saying this hoping you will take this as positive feedback.
I think your videos will go a bit better if you will organize topics a bit more, you don't need to be formulaic, but some small level of structure would help. At certain point in the video you guys are rambling a bit, it's not bad in a friendly discussion but a bit harder to absorb as useful information when you switch back and forth between topics.

    • @thebordoshow
      @thebordoshow  ปีที่แล้ว +8

I completely agree, that's why it's called Ramblelog podcast 😅.
I try to keep on topic when I make different videos, but I have trouble keeping on track with live talk, so I just called my podcasts rambling vlogs.
Future videos not in this format will be more structured though, I promise, but I can't keep it for this series

The ancient mysteries take many forms but the underlying meaning is the same. People get caught up in the window dressing rather than looking through the window so to speak.

Pagan traditions and beliefs still survives in rural areas here in Great Britain as well, maybe I should make some more videos about that because I have some written material I’ve done already I can turn into a video or two

This was such an interesting watch! It is a similar story where I come from regarding the lack of documentation, the impact of Christianity, and the 19th-century revival when folklorists collected and curated bits of pre-Christian lore from oral tradition. I look forward to more of your videos on Caucasian myths!

I became a big fan of your channel too.
I'm making some new videos but I'm also trying to make it visually interesting too like in your videos, but it's taking a bit more work to learn the necessary tools and techniques.
I really like your style and I want to make my own more distinct

Bordo, I am Georgian diaspora, and I just started a historical channel. I quite like your channel, I have been following it for a while now from my personal account. I will be doing video essays on Georgia, hopefully by that time I will grow enough so that we can do a collaboration.
And brilliant video guys, you know what you are talking about. Perhaps it is worth starting a podcast with Misha.

The ramblelog podcast is basically me and misha rambling on about stuff already.
Just a loose format to talk about broad topics
