Good to see this review again, and scrubbed clean of any references to tainted internet celebrities! The imagination game bit kinda reminds me of the "You and Me" segment from The Jetsons Movie; a superfluous bit of randomness that serves no narrative purpose, but is visually interesting enough that it's actually one of the best parts of an otherwise lackluster film.

Oh wow, and here I thought I'd be remarking about how ham-fisted environmental villains have come back around since this was first recorded, and then I'm confronted with 'Amos and Android' and there's NOTHING that's gonna beat that for discomfort!

Also, fun fact: back in the nineties, a scrapped Sonic the Hedgehog movie had Eggman make an evil amusement park where he turned several children into obedient robots. That almost makes me wonder if someone who knew about that script decided to try and recycle that idea for this movie.
I saw a trailer for this movie on DVD and it did actually scare me. My siblings all thought I was being a big baby. To be honest, I was afraid of most things at that time.
So, they just copy-pasted Beast Machines Megatron for their villain? I mean, that was the best part about Beast Machines, but they could at least try a different, more original route.
And said best part is essentially Robotnik from the good Sonic cartoon from the 90's, albeit with WORSE fashion sense in regards to this vehiconicular trainwreck. Go figure.
I’d always assumed that Scamboli was referring to Pinocchio when he was commending Geppetto on the latter’s research since It was Pinocchio who allowed Scamboli’s plan to succeed after the blackout fucked over the first attempt.
Clearly this movie takes place in the creationist universe and it is 3 million years from the creation of the Earth as calculated by creationist Anglican ministers
for a foreign collab film, it ain't bad... compared to worse things like puss in boots, doogal, that movie with the viking comic characters. some of the kids faces are wonky (reminds me of scary godmother animation), but then it's weird because there's some randomly decent renderings mixed in there. other contenders of that year were shrek 2, shark tale and polar express (only three AAA 3D animations) so i don't think it was a completely ignored film. i saw it with my nephews and nieces, it was pretty neat at the time. the kids becoming robots was a bit creepy though.. else, yeah, it seemed to fit its time of release, and again, as a foreign film.. wasn't terrible. i give it 7/10. also, scamboli reminds me of two things. 1 - Boys of Silence from Bioshock Infinite. 2 - Robotnik from SatAM Sonic. I'm not sure if this was a reference or inspiration, but Scamboli stealing and using Geppetto's research to roboticize the kids is very similar to Robotnik stealing and using Uncle Chuck's research to roboticize Mobius' citizens. Maybe just a coincidence..

I saw this episode like 200 times before Blip vanished yet *somehow* I completely forgot the Robo-Minstrel and nearly fainted when I saw it again.

Good review. However, while the 2004 CGI Pinocchio is problematic at least it’s WAY better than Disney’s awful Pinocchio remake.
