The timeline of moving out during finals week seems so unnecessarily stressful!! Loved seeing all the gifts you bought the fam. The tea towel is super cute 😊. Random compliments are so nice! The dress was pretty 💜

i mean you probably wont need to do this again but for everyone else... packing cubes you use for travel are also great for packing things into boxes for compressing things, but better than the vacuum seal bags which can break their seal and cause your box to explode....

binge watching your whole journey over the last few months. You’re kind of amazing. look forward to what you do next. by the way, I’m sure you’ve been told this, but if you tape or tie the moving boxes to the dolly, you should be able to get the proper leverage to get it tipped. kick this semester’s ass Tia!!

You really need one of those moving dollies that convert to flatbed so you can stack boxes and push it. I used to push those with old tower PCs stacked quite high and it's so much easier and efficient than the regular vertical ones.

If an elevator is always too full going down, press the call button to go up and just stay in it until it goes back down. Also suggest you get a packing tape dispenser for boxes (even a cheap plastic semi-disposable one that comes with tape) as it's much quicker than using scissors, and small ratchet straps to keep boxes/etc on a sack-truck.

Moving out at the end of the semester is so stressful 😂 I did the same thing. And I only moved from Perth CBD to Freo (basically still Perth). But hell it was so stressful - finishing off 2 assignments in between as well. 1 Van load, 1 car load, an IKEA and Bunnings trip later I was so done.
Luckily - or ideally, i don't have to do this after every semester.
Enjoy your time in Australia with your family 😊.

moving out is literally so stressful, especially when you’re trying to study & submit things at the same time!!! I really hope I’m done with stressful move-outs! thank you 🤗🥰

my husband and I just moved to a different state from where we used to live. you seem to be way more organized in terms of packing than either of us were.

@Tia I enjoyed this vlog and reminds me of my time in the U.S. as an exchange student in Long Island and back in Germany. By the way I have friends in Perth W.A. i have only been there once but liked it very much. Have a great time with your family in W.A. and in Melbourne with your dad. A lot of sunshine from Germany and Berlin in the summer 🙋‍♀️🐟🐋🐠🏖

lol i loved watching you scrape ice out the freezer butttt for reference , unplug it and let it sit for about two-three hours. The ice will melt and you can wipe the water out!

You poor thing, so much to do. It was exhausting just watching you especially lugging those boxes around. I hope you managed to get some sleep on the flight back to Australia although I guess it would have been more difficult with all the flights being pretty full now that international travel is happening again. I hope that you are enjoying being back home with your family and friends. With you moving into a studio apartment when you go back is that something you already have organised or do you have to look around when you return to Yale? Looking forward to your next video.

thank you so much!! good luck for graduation & college applications - exciting times! ☺️ I have videos published back in 2020 with more specific tips because I don’t remember things as well now, but spend a decent amount of time on your apps, try to highlight a unique and genuine aspect of yourself, and you will end up wherever you’re meant to be 🌟

It seems like such a hassle living on campus! Surely they would make it easier for you guys as (especially international) students. like why can you not spend the whole of your college time in the same room or building at least?

Given Yale has 14 residence colleges and students are allowed to stay for 4 years, why you have to move out? Just curious. thanks

    • @listay1

It's what the college does. She doesn't have a choice. Some schools allow students to stay in the same room, but that's actually really rare!
